How to post properly text convos and get rid of/convert emojis
Yo, I realized I spend an insane amount of time on editing already written posts, which is definitely not the best use of my time lol
I know there was an app, not sure if it's still working or how you guys edit texts. But it probably works only with native apps (sms).
1) Color coding
When I copy paste from somewhere like tinder or Whatsapp, I need to go to every single line and hit enter then delete it so the color thing can kick in. Not sure if there's any better way, if I don't do it my texts are not colored.
Tip: As you need to use the 'Me and Her' structure, you can just easily run through a search and change command in any text editor and change the name or phone number.
2) Emojis
This is where my presence is tested and edit a post 5x times after publishing.
The classical emoji just cut the rest of the post off. Everything after and including the emoji is not showing up.
So I have just manually deleted them and try to put an equivalent or type it out if important.
Any tips here? I know the app converted it like (dancing monkey emoji) or something like this, did some google search but nothing useful came up.
Hmm can you attach screenshots? I'm not understanding the issue with emojis I've never experienced that.
So big news I've already started getting the old MW Text Displayer app rebuilt. Been trying for years but finally found a team that can pull it off. I'm also upgrading the forum to D7. Previously I'd migrated the whole forum over the Vbulletin, and it's sitting there at http://forum.manwhore.org, but it's not complete and the fuckball who was working on it was not capable of instituting all the changes I needed, so there it sits. But I'm staying with Drupal because it's more stable and flexible.

so this is when I copy pasted the text from Cupid into an editor.
and if I just copy it here in the forum and save the post. The post ends with the end of line 2, omitting everything that's there starting from the emoji, no matter how many more lines.
sounds good, yeah I've seen that forum. If I search for the site, the results come up with that forum subdomain. Hard to say if it would be good, I was just only using it as a reader.

it's always up to the emoji and it's already left out.
Now I copypasted 13 lines in total btw, but line 3 was an emoji...
Ok that's never been an issue before not sure what's happening but it looks like the emojis are breaking the forum's wysiwyg editor. It's just the sort of thing that happens with old versions of forum software. Bugs 'n shit. May not have a fix till the forum gets upgraded so yeah for now you'll just have to remove them.
