I'm pretty new myself, but my take on this:

1) have solid conversation in real life so she WANTS to meet up with you - seems like you should improve in that!

2) make the date sound interesting - spike some emotions, maybe create a little story around it

3) try to arrange the date for the same day or follow up before the date so she gets a reminder - like you say some extra information about the logistics or say you'd be late a bit
