Yo so I PM'd manwhore but figured you guys could def. offer some awesome insight/advice as well.

The author mentions in part of the book, having a scheduling device that allows you to sorta incorporate all of those facets.. was wondering if you have any thoughts on a good device to use or if you use something.

Also- when he talks about scheduling for the week... does that just mean, like as an example, on sunday night, setting out a daily schedule for every day of the next week, or does he mean just creating something a little more broad that just encompasses the entire week on a general level?

Btw- This book is AMAZING. It starts off kinda slow but jesus christ dude, after that it just takes off and you're left sitting there like.... holy shit. Highly recommend reading it, if you haven't.

What I do is I have Evernote installed on every device I own. E.g. my laptop, desktop and phone, which syncs my notes across all devices. It allows you to have Notebooks and within notebooks you can add Notes.

So for instance I have a "Coaching" notebook and within that notebook I have a Note for each individual guy. It allows me to keep track of their process, their hw etc. When Jlaix was writing his book he used Evernote to keep track of all the chapters etc.

I also make crazy use of whiteboards. I have a massive one hung up on the wall next to me. It allows me to keep a running tally of everything I have going on including long-term type stuff.

I've got an app in development that incorporates 7 Habit's 4x4 timeline into a daily/weekly scheduling interface. Pretty cool but not done yet. Probably won't be done for awhile either.

@Manwhore:

White boards and evernote... AWESOME

I'ma get a huge ass whiteboard. I think that white board idea is SO money. So flexible... great feedback dude.

Also: Just nailed down a gym membership... 75 bucks for 6 months

Downside: It's in chelsea and like every dude that works out there is actually gay. Benefits: THe weight room is EMPTY.

Heres what I do. It works amazing. Obviously it might not be the best for everyone but its really hard to see how this won't help. Maybe you'll do some tweaking but heres how I say organized. I have three glass whiteboards from Ikea in my room. They are pretty awesome, better than dollar store whiteboards and fairly cheap for something that looks awesome. One is big, one medium and one baby one.

The papa one keeps my values, life goals and everything else that guides my life. It's on a whiteboard so nothing is permanent but I rarely even add things and very rarely erase things. Some things on this board are - financial goals (general budget, how much to save/invest), personal goals, how to manage relationships, gain better control over emotions/actions, expand my comfort zone, always be learning, professional goals (where I want to go with my buisness, becoming a better marketer, giving more value to employees, peers and clients alike), etc.

The mama board holds my weekly schedule. I have mon-friday on there and write out what I need to accomplish on each day (phone calls, emails, appointments, or XXX must be done by thursday, etc.). A standard day might look like: Tuesday - make free quotes, get haircut, gym at 5, write invoices, lunch w/ co-worker. Then I have general rules for the week, especially for work. Like when to check emails, take breaks, when to eat, and most importantly - when to pack it in for the day :)

The baby board is my daily whiteboard. I get REALLY specific here and try to include as much as possible. Its so easy to rationalize "ohh I'll move my haircut over to tomm, i'm not too busy" and then tomm comes and I am too busy and shit doesn't get done. When it's written down you owe it to you from this morning to accomplish those daily goals or else future self is going to pay. So heres what my baby board looks like:

Thursday

730 - Wake, bathroom routine
8 - Breakfast
9 - Emails, voicemails and site check
10 - Eaton centre job
12 - Lunch
1 - Nike job
4 - Invoice for the day, Email/voice mail check
5 - Dinner
630 - No more work time! (Emails, work calls and anything else are OFF LIMITS)
7 - Gym
8 - No more computer time. Read/go outside/meet up with friends or dates
10 - Club
230 - Bed time

That's the general outline. There are large gaps in there sometimes where I do unproductive stuff but the second something comes up that I planned on, its work time. And sometimes I just fill in work stuff but other times I get suuuuper specific and add in EVERYTHING aside from taking pisses. So this bad boy works amazingly well. Ever since I've implemented it, it has helped me become a much better person. Happier, more productive, more achievements. My usual medium and small boards are mostly for work shit and other stuff gets throw in around it (because I don't really need to schedule time to call a friend or go out - those are things I like doing and happen by themselves) but this sucker could be tweaked for pimping. That would be awesome

Naw fool yer gonna have company. In the ASS

Seriously though.. gay guys lift weights. You're going to have at least one or two a week come up to you and tell you you're lifting the weight wrong and will want to show how to do it right. Then he'll tell you there's another exercise he wants to show you. It'll be in the bathroom. Follow him

Nice.. ya that's basically what my app is going to do so you'll be able to access it from anywhere.

I had an extra whiteboard for a while too but just figured out how to take the one large whiteboard and split it into different segments. By keeping it all together I make sure I'm actually looking at all of it. I imagine you don't look at your papa one very much as it doesn't change much.

Sickkk I'd purchase that bad boy for $0.99

Do you have any other apps out there aside from the text convo one?

And I don't mind them all being separate... The big one is right beside the others in a place where I constantly am. I sometimes zone-out looking at it after meditating or look at it when I am smelling the roses and relaxing. Like just sipping on a beer or drinking my morning coffee. Cause I do have goals on there that have a deadline - its not just "be a better person" type stuff. Like it'll say reach xxxx amount of savings by dec 1st.

Having a whiteboard would have prevented that.
