Adventure time- any advice?
Had no clue where to slot this into in terms of our little forum sub-headings, personal growth = health I SUPPOSE.
Guys I'm travelling down through the US then dossing around in South America over the next few months (Feb-May)- stopping in NY for 8 days before I move on to Rio.
Any advice on spots in NY would be MUCH appreciated, any advice on South America would be cherished and likely save my fucking life. Even a little general backpacking/travelling advice would be sweet.
To break it down a little more specifically- NY (8 days), Rio (8 days minimum, carnivale time-), Argentina, Bolivia (stick around here for at least 2 weeks, cheaper living costs and a couple connects), Peru, Ecuador, Colombia (final 3-4 weeks, couple more connects)
Context-wise, majority of travel will be solo (personal challenge really), have a few extended connects in a couple cities I'll link up with along the way.
If there's any advice on those specific places that would be awesome, but anything would be useful.
Cheers
no advice to give, but damn, son, if that doesn't sound like fucking great trip.
Enjoy.
also dig that you are actually travellling alone.best way to travel. will change your life no doubt.
well if you survive ;)
For NY i would need an idea on what kinda places your into and what kinda budget we are talking about.

@Chris:
Thanks bro.
Man I can't even lie- I've felt some real nerves preparing for this the last few weeks. It's a first, solo, for me.
Imma keep my balls close to my chest for sure- but no doubt I agree with you on that. It's gunna be fucking awesome.
@CreamOfTheCrop:
Man, I keep an open mind bro. I'm down for anything. I'm usually a high energy club scene type dude.
Music-wise I can work with anything, tend to move towards Rap/RnB though.
A couple decent chill bars would be cool too.
On the daily avg. I can work with $50-100 a day, can leverage more if necessary. Accomodation's sorted, not a big drinker either.
Keeping the bulk for South America.
I'm staying in Brooklyn if that helps.
@Cholo:
Defo spending some time in both Bogota and Medellin.
I'll read up on Cartagena, Baños and Montañita
Cheers mang.
I might be headed down to Medellin
@MW:
My plans have me being there Late-April/Mid-May.
Be cool as fuck see you out there if it's around the same time man!
I'll be there earlier than that.
Do you guys speak any spanish?
No he practicado por dos o tres anos pero puedo hacerlo si es necesario.
i'm really interested of what kind of observations you will have in colombia. I went out quite a few times in latin america when i was 17-18. Usually found the tourist chicks easier to game but i pulled some latinas from social circle game and also from cold approach.
What i've noticed is there are alotta mixed groups, girls usually go out with their guy friends. Once i got suckerpunched by a bunch of dudes for talking to some chicks, ugh.
Some westerners seem to say latinas are conservative etc but i haven't had any resistance or whatsoever when i pulled them to my hotel room. And my game is kinda shit to be honest lol.
And oh yeah they LOVE to dance salsa
I've already had long-term relationships with girls from Mexico, purely in Spanish. There probably won't be a lot of surprises for me, and yes your experiences mirror my own. Westerners saying latinas are conservative is gawdamn retarded. It's their lack of experience dealing with women who are evaluating a man based on his leadership decisions. This sounds difficult but it's not in the slightest, all it means is that a dude simply goes for what he wants without really thinking about it much.
