How does it compare to Adobe Premiere? Does it include a lot of built-in/template design elements? I'll probably just hire on odesk or something.

If so, you could download one of the free templates that you like and edit them... shouldn't be too much trouble.
If you already have a video editing program you could find some free templates for it on youtube or google.
