I can tell you one thing that is hurting you, your website is not 'mobile optimized.' Meaning your website does not show up properly on a mobile phone according to google.

The reason this is important is because Google favors mobile frinedly, responsive websites for their search results - because they serve a better user experience. They've really put an emphasis on this in the last couple of years
Plus half of everyone online is looking at your site through a smartphone or tablet.

Yeah I've got a mobile friendly version of the site I just don't like it. And for whatever reason the desktop version of the site seems to convert and/or create a better experience than the mobile version. But yeah thanks for the reminder I need to fix that for sure.
The site's performing decently well right now though I do think I'm getting penalized for the lack of mobile friendliness.
And yeah I've got 40% iphone and 35% android.

If you want you can get quailty SEO, you should go to a SEO agency or firm that is based in the USA. They are pretty expensive but they do a good job.
Just google "USA SEO or Digital Marketing Agency" You will find plenty of them. Make sure they are based in the USA and not in India or some 3rd world country.
That is probably the best track to get good SEO. Just make sure you research the company first.
