Anyway I can come back from this?
A quick daygame convo with a cute hipster girl doing some promo work for her store. Got her number and qualified her on having unique fashion and good taste in movies and TV.
But I think I fucked up massively near the end. I somehow in the moment got the feeling she didn't get the joke about the serial killer... and then I backtracked and made myself look like a complete chump. Also I didn't go for the meetup smoothly near the end.
Me: Her name- my name
Me - 1 min later: Meet at uni and queen
Me - 5 mins later: Oops that was meant for my friend haha
Girl - 21 mins later: It was nice meeting you
Me - 9 mins later: Same, you have an unique vibe about you.
Me - 22 hrs 15 mins later: What kind of trouble are you getting into today :p
Girl - 7 mins later: I am just at the store working
Girl: Watching queen street go by
Me - 25 mins later: Nice I'm about to grab some jerk chicken. So delish
Me - 2 mins later: People watchings always fun, I love playing the "hipster or homeless" guessing game haha
Girl - 3 mins later: Haha yeah thats a good one
Me - 1 hr 41 mins later: Damnit jerk chicken was closed so I had to cook a chicken breast. So chilly today I feel like ice cream but the sun disapproves
Girl - 18 mins later: Yummm soon enough tho.
Me - 12 mins later: Yep you should join me. Only if ya promise me your not a serial killer haha
Girl - 2 mins later: I am sorry not this evening
Girl: And no I am not a serial killer
Me - 3 mins later: Ah no I was thinking later in the week I'm at my parents today.
Me - 2 mins later: And of course not I was joking bout that boo :)
Girl: Lol
I think you're fine... but these feel so impersonal, they're still missing that spark. You see how I start crafting/creating a bit of a backstory on us two together..? I'm manufacturing a shared story together.try that. What's this girls context?

Hmm, so this girl was promoting her vintage clothing store and I came up and commented on her checkered skirt. I remember talking about us watching Deliverance together and getting her number that way.
I think I get the gist of what you're saying though, craft a backstory, get some emotional momentum going, and invite her based on that backstory. Like what Pottedflowers does with the whole "Batman and Robin" thing.
I'll shoot her a reengagement text tomorrow when I wake up and see how it turns out.
Yes.. *facepalm* like what Potted does with the whole "Batman and Robin" thing. But it's even better to make it personal to your guys' backstory.
You could be like.. so we should go pick out something from your vintage shop to watch Deliverance in. Maybe go pick some cotton first
Oh dude I thought Deliverance was about the civil war. Whoops
I think I get the gist of it. Whatever we talked about in the first interaction, make a backstory out of it. I'll make sure I do that from now on, and even in the interaction itself i"ll set up a roleplay to make it easier when I text the girl. Looks like this girl might not go through tho. all good. Thanks a lot, that's a major thing I needed to implement into my text game.
I sent her a reengagement text like 6 hours ago no reply. I'll give it one final try by using Bateman's line with "Don't just ignore me.. Say something, loser ;)".
Me 6 hours ago: Damn so cold today did ya punch old man winter in the balls or something.
^ That's a good one lol
