Becoming a CLOSER in life
My soccer team just got bumped up to #14 in the nation, heading into the state semi's tommorrow...and I've scored 5 goals in the last 7 games
Feels good brah
NICE DUDE! Damn, you prolly feel like THE MAN right now!
Sweet!

it's defintely a group effort, but I feel great! I am by no means one of the "skilled" players, but Im figuring how to put the ball in the back of the net :)
We just won the state title. I scored 3 times outta 4 playoff games, fuck yeah :)
That's fucking awesome. Congrats man
Yeah, that's pretty fuckin incredible.
You thinking of playing in college?
Yeah, that's pretty fuckin incredible. You thinking of playing in college?
honestly...no. It's tough juggling sports and school at the moment, I can't even imagine doing it at the college level
being busy makes you better. I played sports in college

This.
The busier you are, the better your college experience will be. trust me. I also was a recruited athlete.
I don't know if you're a senior or not, but either way- even if you don't think you want to play soccer in college, or even if you're not sure if you're good enough- you should absolutely reach out to any and all coaches you even MIGHT want to play for. Basically put yourself on their map.
IF it's something you're interested in, and honestly man, I'd suggest you at least give yourself the optionality and then if you decide you realllly don't want to, then you don't have to- but nothing worse than not giving yourself the chance.... But yeah, Email and call coaches and see if you can setup some official or even unofficial visits, just to check shit out.... also, focus a ton on your SATs... if you have super high SAT scores, you can get recruited, as a way to help them get "less intelligent" athletes in, because you'll pull the average for the recruiting class up.
Unless you play basketball or football.... this is the process all recruited athletes go through.
Again, I know you said you didn't want to but figured I'd put this out there....

thank you, either way this is helpful.
@MW I realize staying busy is important, it just depends on what I want to invest my time on. I'd rather work a job and make money for myself during college than play sports.
I worked the whole time as well. Remember, it's about time organization and work management. You can get everything done easy, and still feel like it's easier than you thought it would be.
I just got a recruitment call from a D3 coach in upstate NY, feeling a bit more drawn to the whole college sports gig now, considering I could potentially go to this school for extremely cheap due to merit scholarships. Two of my team mates got calls as well, so that could be fun.
