I use color coded post its which I stick on my wall. Colors are different for priority stuff, certain aspects of my life and whether they will be long term or short term implementations. I think, as with the whiteboard, that making it visible helps tremendously. Apps don't do that as much.

Get a large whiteboard, get

Get a large whiteboard, get your gmail sinked to your gmail calendar and get to work. Keep track of everything.

app

Office excel is convenient for all the stuff I plan for the day and the past days to keep track about what I did and not.

I've been using this app

I've been using this app productivity challenge timer as a pomodoro type timer. Its been great for staying focused on big tasks, and it basically talks smack to you when you get distracted/take too long a break.

I use asana both on PC and

I use asana both on PC and phone. I even manage girls on there so. Have daily or weekly tasks, also track time with tmetric. Can recommend it

Pro: all the time with you - no difference if you're on the go

Con: Only see it when you open it... - and that is a big one for me.

I write myself texts and keep myself a calendar  with email notifications. I also have a running to do list always open on my screen in Evernote
