So... I was talking to this chick at the bus stop today beautiful chemistry. We walked to another bus stop to get a quicker bus and this dude asks me something and comes along with us, cool he's getting the same bus. Anyway... this guy was a nice guy but he was presented poorly and his subcommunications were off, voice up and down all over the place KILLING the sexual vibe, and blathering on about random nonsense. He was being friendly but the girl was getting turned off by his vibe and by me not handling things.

I had an extremely similar situation this past summer and I ended up banging the girl ;)
You want to actually engage the guy and be friendly and cool. Whenever he engages the girl, just sit back and let him. Contribute to the conversation if you have to but you can see himself start to blow himself out. Completely change topics with the girl so she can start focusing on you again. Basically, you were probably being too gamey and doing shit like being breaking rapport when really you should have just let it happen. You have to treat these guys like they are no sexual threat because they aren't, otherwise you end up looking desperate or try hard.

Nice. Actually he wasn't trying to game the girl, he assumed that we were a couple and was just wanting to talk. But the girl wanted my attention on her and not the guy so she got fed up when I engaged him, I got on with the guy fine. I changed topics a few times talking discreetly to the girl, problem is when I did the guy started talking again.. yeah I should have handled this better but not sure how, I was happily engaging the guy but the girl was getting turned off and we were losing our thing. Shoulda (coulda) got her number I'm a derpface.

What about something as simple as: "man you're cool but we're having a private conversation here"? If he's not gaming the girl, and she is giving you signs that she doesn't enjoy this, why not blow him off in a polite manner?
I had something really similar happen to me too. I'm gaming this girl and the vibe is fuckin great, then this chodey comes over and starts talking to me. Completely ignoring the girl. I'm like wtf is this? So I'd cut off his conversations and keep talking to her, but he'd keep interjecting. The girl felt awkward and wandered off. Then this black dude started talking to her with his just machinegun mouth... bambambambambambambam! And she's diggin it. I was like faaack... But then the EXACT same thing happened to him! Some old chodey with a LedZep shirt sees him talking to her, goes over and fucks his game over.
I ended up getting her number but I thought that was just funny
I think it's a "coattails" thing for these guys. They don't have the stones to do anything with girls like this, and they're more comfortable engaging dudes so they try to use you as a segue.
