She reaches back a little bit, touching my arm and leg while the two of them are kissing each other. Pretty soon it becomes apparent that its not going to work. My assessment of this girl is she's primarily a lesbian who also likes dudes sometimes. My style of escalation is generally a bit rough and dominant. I get the sense that maybe she likes it more tender. It might be rationalizing here it might just be that my calibration was off or frankly she might have not been into me. At any rate I found myself a bit butthurt from the ordeal after the girl left, now that I think about it I actually had started to feel that way from the time she pulled away from the kiss. The funny thing is she hovered around for a bit deciding whether she was going to leave or not for awhile. I tried to pull her in a couple of times and met some resistance. The girl and I seem to have mismatched chemistry/energy or something.
I'll insert a little aside here: before this dinner date I got a phone call from the husband of a girl who has been in imminent danger of getting fucked by me, basically asking me to back off. He started off a bit aggressively but I quickly diffused that letting him know that I thought she was seeing other guys and that I really wasn't trying to get between them. I kind of politely called him a pussy for calling me instead of handling shit with his wife. Long story short, this guy wants to hear more of what I have to say about it and thinks it might actually be helpful. Next I had a visit with an old friend to have a drink and tell a story or two about a close friend who recently passed away from cancer. Needless to say all this left me in a weird headspace.
I'm pretty much just spewing this out for therapeutic purposes but if anyone has any comments here or insight on any rationalizations I might be missing or whatever I'd love to hear it.
Well man I think you made your decisions and I think they were solid. They can try to call it butthurt if they want, but that's hogwash, a girl trying to lay claim to your girl in your house is overstepping. I've had lesbians try it and it's not something I stand for. The only thing I would ask is what was the dialogue like? That's the big question.

Conversation over dinner was pretty rapid-fire between the two girls telling sexual anecdotes and reminiscing about last summer, as it was a nice sunny day today. Now that you bring it up, I suppose I wasn't really resonating on that frequency probably due to the aforementioned weirdness that happened prior to dinner. Reactive I suppose on my part. I had two suggestions: there's a relatively new movement called "sex positive" which basically encourages ANY sexual behaviour between consenting adults, I simply made the point that if people are into some weird shit, maybe that's fine if its from a healthy place but maybe there are some underlying traumas or issues that might be playing themselves out in an unhealthy sexually expressive way which could actually be doing harm. The other idea I had for discussion: why the fuck is every mainstream "sex expert" either a gay or effeminate man or an old woman? My point specifically is it seems that dominant, sexual, alpha males don't seem to be very well received in the mainstream and I think it's because it freaks people out (you came up MW lol). I think this says a lot about mainstream sexuality. Once we were on the couch we just chilled out and started talking music, that's when the girls got started. In hindsight I'm sure my vocal tonality, projection was probably off.
We didn't address what was going on really, I don't really remember what came up when we bounced off the couch but it was "change the subject" type shit. Not sure what would have been a good way to handle it. Maybe I should have invited her to come kiss my girls boobies while I fucked her, that might have worked.

I think what this might mean is that the girl was probably down the other night, I just failed to lead properly and make things comfortable. This was her way of letting me know not to 'next' her(?) compliance tests are a good idea, get her investing to reduce the chances of this happening again
