Constantly expanding the definition of rape is a way for feminists to indulge their desire for vulnerability..
"Constantly expanding the definition of rape is a way for feminists to indulge their desire for vulnerability in a way that doesn’t conflict with their view of themselves as “strong” and “empowered.”"
Interesting idea.. What do you guys think?
It's possible.
I tend to just think of them as man haters, even though I'm sure they aren't all like that. Honestly though, I have yet to read a feminist article that gives one iota of a fuck about men beyond using men as a means to an end or talking about how men have fucked up.
I thought this quote was almost scary, but definitely a possibility. Girls love feeling like a victim. They're so drawn to it. They want to feel protected and nurtured. This is just that desire turned inside out.
Statistically women who have been the victim of rape are much more likely to be raped again than a woman who hasn't.
"Rape me once, shame on you. Rape me twice..."
This is super thought provoking. My knee-jerk response was anger
But actually this is kinda crazy... what's the source you got this from, man?
A really terrible article lol. But that quote was startling and potentially true. This whole "rape culture" thing makes it seem there are gangs of dudes roaming around looking for women to terrorize. It's bullshit and incredible destructive
feminists.
I think there's some truth to this.
The only thing that bothers me about feminism, is the women who vehemently preach equality but as soon as they need a tire changed, a war starts, the hear a creak at night, the bill comes at the restaurant, etc. all that equality goes out the window. I have yet to meet a feminist who actually practiced what she preached.
Funny enough I was hanging out with a girl tonight who told me she was out one night with a girl who got "raped". She was talking about how "sad" it was because she was a single mom. So I asked her more and more about it.. Come to find out this girl didn't get raped at all, she chose to go off with these guys (this girl went with her) and when this girl found her she was naked chilling on the bed. And that during the car ride back she tried to go down on her and bit her leg because apparently she's "bi". It wasn't rape at all. It was a story she told to people that knew she hadn't been raped, to gain sympathy and make excuses for her behavior.. and they still continued telling the story, even describing how "sad" it was. Unreal
Rape is a pretty shitty thing.
I'll lean on the side of too cautious on this one, personally. It's like the ULTIMATE in taking someone's freedom away.
I know everyone here feels the same way about legit rape, but I just wanted to throw that out there. I don't really think this whole "rape culture" thing has gone too far.
Also, to make this out as a "feminist" issue is pretty ridiculous- as if "feminists" are the only ones expanding the definition of rape- I mean, fellas, come on, there was a period of time when if the girl wore something sexy, she was said to be "asking for it"..... Like yeah, NO SHIT, the definition of rape has been expanded....
I didn't come on here to make waves but this is fucking ridiculous
The quote is LITERALLY framed in a way that has all of you agreeing with it- to use pickup lingo- you guys are "baby-stepping" your agreement..... manwhore starts by putting the kernel of doubt out there and the sheep follow...... but it's entirely in how it's all been framed...... Also- I'll make it clear, I don't think manwhore either agrees or disagrees with this quoyte- I think he probably just found it interesting, which is completely fair... but I will say that, personally, I find it interesting but now that I've thought about it- the quote is ONLY interesting because its contrarion.... like a really bad pickup artist who makes his living SOLELY by writing articles that go against the general pickup world. I say this because the quote isn't even accurate in its claim that feminists are the ones doing this, and if that's not true- the entire quote means nothing
Nobody on here has even questioned the valididty of the very fact the quote is cliaming- which is that it's FEMINISTS who are the ones who have expanded the definition of rape..... this is COMPLETE BULLSHIT.
Like as if you have to be a fucking feminists to want women to be entirely protected from rape.... holy shit im fucking furious right now. The mroe I think about how STUPID this quote is. I'm cool with yall having your opinnion cause that's your right and i wouldn't take your freedom to think away from you, but this is fucking idiotic. My knee-jerk reaction to this quote was anger, then I thought about it and reflected, and now I'm even more angry because now I see how STUPID it is, not even just how contrarion it is
That's really an excellent point you made about needing to expand the definition of rape.. because yes you used to hear guys say things like that. And that wasn't cool
However I'm talking about the other side of this whole tragedy. We've got innocents to protect on both sides. And women are not at all responsible with their rape accusations many times. As a dating coach and even on a personal level I have been witness to some hideous shit go down

What sort of hideous shit? Genuinely curious. I can only imagine the absurd hit you've seen go down
