At first, to WHATEVER I said, she'd send back ridiculous gif files and one/two word responses that made no sense.
Just trolling hard.
But she gave me her number at the end... I think half jokingly... to troll some more haha.
But this got me thinking.... as long as she keeps sending SOMETHING back, she is investing in some way. If only I can build up this investment and shape it in some way... maybe I can get the meetup. So this is what I tried to do in this convo.
At first I was trolling back a little bit... cos i thought it was over but this convo is on the phone after a couple of days where I try to pull it together.

Not yet. She went away from town on a trip and then I left town just as she came back. Will be back in the same town on Wednesday so I'm gonna try seeing her this week.

Hey man thanks for your advice. I think that's exactly what's happened/happening. With both of us being away I didn't see much point in keeping the convo going (which is obviously dumb especially if I want her) so she lost the interest/ momentum.
Definitely get your point about using her texts to keep the convo going and I realised that I do this more than I used to but still nowhere near enough.
Thinking all the time, 'what's the best/edgiest/coolest/ most high value text I can send in this moment?' has often obscured my ability to be present in the conversation, to really listen and RESPOND.
Will certainly take this on board. I'm gonna re-engage her today and see where it goes!
I actually consider myself to be pretty well socially calibrated and can see and react to changes in moods adaquately.
Having said that, I just experienced a situation where my ability to KNOW the girl (as you mentioned in another post) was lacking ( will put this in a new post).
