Disciplinary meeting - what do?

Guys, I have to attend this mandatory disciplinary meeting.
Basically, a couple weeks back the fire alarm went off in my building- now, this happens pretty much every friday and saturday because some moron is playing around with the fire extinguishers, propping open fire doors or purposely setting the fire alarm off. As such, most people don't bother doing anything anymore ( you are supposed to go line up outside and be registered etc).
Now, because of this, a couple weeks ago when it went off i decided not to bother going outside. Hardly anybody went outside because its the same story every week. This fire alarm went off for longer than usual but whenever i went outside there was hardly anybody there so clearly we all had the same idea in mind. Eventually one of the seniors came through to my room and found my in there and started raging that i hadn't been out to be registered.
I tried passing it off as if i couldn't hear the alarm ( i had my earphones in REALLY loud) anyway it clearly didn't seem as if they were buying it and apparently i have now had my name marked down and have received an email today saying i need to go to some disciplinary meeting with this very high senior guy.
How should I play this. Should i realistically play like i couldn't hear the alarm ( seems like a bad excuse and the less senior guys didn't buy it) or should i just explain why i didn't go out - dudes always messing with stuff, setting it off etc and thus i saw no point in going out.
I dunno what the ultimate consequence is - either getting kicked out or some sort of fine or w/e, but ultimately i would like to avoid both.
I figured this would be the place to ask, as this seems 101 Manwhore territory.
Thoughts?

lol nothing is gonna happen to you. Just say you couldn't hear the alarm because you had your headphones in... They can't prove this is bullshit.
This kinda thing happens a lot. They are gonna give you a warning and you will go on your merry way

Only problem is they could very easy just be like "its incredibly loud- yes you obviously did hear it" and thus take it further than they otherwise would

Ok you have to give some kind of details on where the fuck exactly you are. Are you in a jewish concentration camp? Could you get sent to the ovens? Or is this your neighborhood apartment building.

I'm simply saying he's not giving enough information if these guys have no actual influence over you I wouldn't even show up to their meeting. There's something else going on here I'm not understanding.

Yeah, I had a situation that manwhore just helped me handle a little bit and reflecting on that situation and other situations similar to it (like this one)... manwhore makes such a good point.
Unless somebody has direct influence over your life, don't even acknowledge them. Like if they can't influence your life, it just doesn't matter.

Correct that's what I'm getting at however Pepsi fill me in so we can discuss options I'm quite good at putting the screw to people when they try to roll you over with bullshit. Pain and discomfort is the name of the game.

I got a knock on my door about 20 minutes ago. I was thinking uh, here we go. I open the door and some girl is there with like some clipboard thing in her hand.
She asks me if i have received a letter under my door about a disciplinary meeting. I tell her no but I got an email about it.
She starts apologising and flicks through this clipboard thing and tells me they accidentally sent it to the wrong person, and that theres no issue.
You guys were obviously right. The thing itself didn't actually say anything about the fire alarm- it was just a general thing. Obviously i was linking two and two together and assumed it was because of that. Obviously something else has gone on somewhere else and for some reason i got it.
I thought it was a tad weird i would get this TWO WEEKS after the incident- i actually asked her why these seniors have the registers for the fire alarm and she said they use it just to make sure that everybody is registered. Haha.
