Does massive change ever make you feel strange?

I've found over the last few months that massive change in my life often leaves me feeling strange, sometimes lost. This feeling of being lost is because I'm changing my personality, and my internal thought processes. I know these changes ARE the right path, but the ego loves to cling onto old habits and beliefs.

How does one break out of this strange feeling, and embrace the identity he knows he must build?

That's the process of becoming unplugged from groupthink. You've swallowed the blue pill. You have to realize the path you were on, the set of behaviors you'd adapted to interact with your environment, was BS. You kinda have to start being ok with that sense of YOU setting a direction and working towards it, even if it's seemingly off into the dark. Don't worry it starts to work itself out ;)
