Does music affect your mood when you go out at night?
I want to hear some thoughts on this and what your tastes in music are when you are at the clubs.
My mood goes on the deep end when the DJs switch from Hip Hop to EDM altogether.
If I push myself, i'll probably last through 3 song before saying "fuck this place"
It's probably too overwhelming and just isn't my style.
Thoroughly enjoy edm and it brings my mood up for sure. Only sub-genre I don't like is when it's too trancey for me. I get down with almost every type of genre too, but prefer top 50 hip hop/edm if I'm out trying to hit up chicks. I enjoy every other genre, but I find that it's in a different scenario. I.e. I'll listen to some indie hip hop if I'm with homies, more mellow edm, or some chill music like sublime / jack johnson. Club bangers just get shit going when you're out haha.
TYPICAL ISSUE here.
I go to club and RARELY the music is at my taste. But it doesn't matter because once you fuck around, talk to guys, get in your rythms, grab chicks around you, you LITTERALY did not hear the music anymore you SHIFT your focus on ACTION OR DIE.
I LOVE to dance, hip hop manly and I go in state like crazy when I do. But I choose to not feel good when I hear a favorite song anymore, you got to cut ALL external stimulation to reach another
level in masculinity in my opinion.
You can still dance around at times but DON'T RELY ON IT to feel good about yourself.
I know it's hard to hear for a black guy, I feel you brother.
Dude that's WAY too strong a response holmes. You got some emotional triggers to work out that's not good. I would recommend you throw on Eckart Tolle's Practicing The Power Of Now while listening to edm in your car.. it'll start to clear you of unconscious emotional responses to music. That's WAY too strong a response dude
Btw if any of you guys aren't listening to Practicing The Power Of Now, you are wrong.
Remember why you're there in the first place

Downloading it right now.
Weirdly enough I don't care about the music if I'm at the bar chatting up random people.
However when I hit up the dancefloor really trying to boost my energy, straight edm doesn't cut it for me.
I notice I can't be present and start thinking about random shit.
Ok yeah you didn't mention the dancing part. I could see that being an issue lol. I'd laugh at you too ;) :p
If you get so much from busting it out on the dancefloor I'd come up with some new "character" dances for edm. Something where you're not taking it "seriously", you're just grooving to the alien beats. Maybe do some impersonations of Abraham Lincoln or Elvis Presley dancing to edm. Works for me
They've done studies that show that people who work out listening to their favorite songs lift about 10-15% more weight than counterparts who do not listen to their favorite music.. I've never personally experimented with the technique, but it's worth checkin out ;)
Working out to your favorite song is True, when im doing a heavey lift i always play something i like and i can normally get it..... but when I go out I LOVE EDM so almost every club is awsome for me and i actually love going out its soo much fun chatting people up danceing and off course taking girls home..... only kind of music I don't really enjoy is country at a club it brings my state down but i can normally build it back up with trying to sing the songs :)
my grammar my not be the best on this post..
