Eckart Tolle video.. discuss!
Cool, I interpret this as like what you've been telling me. To be the boss and start acting that way. When he says "What would it be like if I already was (#Boss)" then I can go into that and pull out from myself my already inherent bossness. Instead of reaching out externally as he says, or being a momma's boy wanting to find the answer from somewhere else besides myself
Nothing ever good comes from needing something lol. You don't project yourself away from the now (the discomfort of losing a game) and visualize a different now. You, in the now, in your power, get off your ass and start running towards the net.
You already are the lady killer or "oprahs actress". It's in you. And you take action towards goals because it reflects and resonates with the inside.
I love Tolle's concept of enthusiasm, I think it is absolutely beautiful. Without any true 'ethuiasm' not only is it unlikely that you'll succeed or follow through or deliver your best work. But it wouldn't be worth it if everything you do is a means to an end. Fuck that mentality.
Now I don't think you have to take things to the extreme. As long as you aren't seeking salvation in the future, as long as you're not basing your identity in forms then I don't see anything wrong with having some conventional goals. It's just important that you ground yourself in the now and realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have.
I don't think it's essential to go full spirtual with the totality of your life. Find what works for you and discard the rest. You can apprecaite great forms and enjoy external aspects of life. Just do so with the mentality that this too shall pass. When you realize the fleeting nature of forms then you can truly enjoy them. Without your emotional state wavering.
Right. The results or the successes happen after. If we're focused too much on that we can never get there because our focus HAS to be in the present moment to hone our craft and unleash ourselves to our full potential.
Yes Alex when you were constantly looking elsewhere you wouldn't allow yourself to grow, and in the present moment you either weren't simply living the experience or you were looking for someone else to handle it for you. You wanted them to just give you the result. This is why we'd all see awesome stuff from you but then it'd disappear and you'd be back to square one because you'd lost that focus on yourself.
The text game book, was essentially written long ago I'm simply putting it onto paper, but the skills and talent necessary for it were there the whole time. We are all mounds of clay, working and toiling away at ourselves to uncover and polish the beast inside.
This is also the premise behind the coaching program. Self-expression, mastery of self, learning to take control of social situations and lead the way.. that's what's important. The women will happen, you simply have to apply yourself in the moment.
