A few text examples and questions

Lately I've been experimenting with some new things when I text to set up the date. I've had problems in the past where I've scheduled a meetup with a girl, didn't text her til the time of, and then she flaked. So now I've been trying to send them texts intermittently up until the time of, to kind of baby step them through the process so they don't get cold feet.
Below I've put 3 text examples. The first is a girl I met up with from OKC on Saturday. This one went perfectly. The second is a girl I met Friday night who stood me up. The third is a girl I'm supposed to go out with tonight, but the interaction/texting was real weak and I could use some serious help solidifying it today.
Girl 1 - Zoe. We had planned to hang out on Sunday, but she texted me on Friday saying she had freed up for Saturday.
her: Hey they switched my shift tomorrow, so if you're still free during the day we should do something
me: Sounds good. let's plan on *BAR* at 3, we can play it by ear from there
me (next day): Good morning. There should be street parking later but you can give me a call if you can't find any
me: promise me you're not a murderer or a 50 yr old dude ;p (thanks to manwhore for this one, it's SO money)
her: But it's fine if I'm a 50 yr old woman? ;)
me: you better be rich then, preferably Cher :) (this was pretty weak but it didn't kill me)
her: well at least it's an amazing day, so if i turn out to be a fat old man, it might still be fun
her: but, just in case I took this too far, I'm neither a killer nor old man (or woman)
me: phew. and you're right, it's absolutely incredible outside. See you soon!
me (2 hrs later, 40 mins prior to meetup): txt me when you're heading over. I need time to put my makeup on ;)
her: Glad you're running late too... I'm eating hags
her: haha*
me: Ha I thought you were trying to say haggis... mmmm
her: Ok I'm ready to go so should be there in like 20
me: I'm here
me: there's some 80s party going on hahaha
her: I'm here
We met up, had some drinks, and then went and banged. There's 2 key texts that I sent here. The first one is the parking text followed by the murderer text. I sent these 2-4 hours prior to meetup time, just to get communication flowing again in a non-needy way. The next is the one to text me when she's heading over. I follow this with a joke because I think having her text me when she's heading over is a little needy. It might be a bit much, but it worked this time.
The next girl I met on Friday. She flaked on me yesterday. You can see I did basically the same thing I did with the above girl, but got different results.
me (friday night): Hey awkward girl you missed a fight here. Get home safe ;p. -James
her (next day): so hung over.. rock climbing trip is nixed. I think I am dying.
me: I'm not surprised you were throwin down last night. Rest up, I want you in top form tomorrow ;) (we had already discussed hanging out sunday)
me (next day): Good morning! I just dominated some Eggo waffles ;p When are you free today?
her: mornin or afternoon! I made crepes and berry compote. Private clients til 5.
me: Same difference! ok, let's meet up at 9. *BAR*
her: no, one is french & the other is an american version (some might say bastardation) of a belgian breakfast
her: see you at 9!
me (4 hrs later, 2 hrs prior to meetup): you should be able to park on the street later but call me if you have trouble
me: promise me you're not a serial killer :) (I tried to adapt this one but I feel like it doesn't work as well if you've already met them in person. thoughts?)
her: When I was 5 I committed mass genocide on swallow tail butterflies and put them in my grandmothers china cabinet. No affiliation with any other homicides.
me: you're a monster
me: see you soon!
me (1.5 hrs later, 30 mins prior to meetup): txt me when you're heading over, I need time to get pretty :P (did I go too far with this?)
she never showed...
me (50 mins later): You coming? I'm gonna go out with some friends otherwise, just let me know (this is weak as hell but I was already pretty drunk and pissed off that the patriots lost)
Anyways, any thoughts on where I went wrong here? I'm honestly shocked that she flaked, she was responding so well to everything, even saying "see you at 9!". It blows my mind how rude some girls are.

me: They were letting white people in around a big group of arabs/indians. First time i've been ushered to the front VIP style with only guys

me: let's hang this week. Whats your schedule like for the next few days
her: working tuesday and working from home monday
me: let's do tomorrow. When are you done for the day
her: when ever I want
me: cool. Let's plan on 730 at *BAR*. Wear something cute so we match ;)
No response yet. Honestly this girl's texting is so weak I'll be shocked if she actually comes out tonight. Maybe she's just boring as sin though, I was honestly surprised when she responded to me asking what her schedule is like. I'm thinking of giving her a call later to set it up and then sending out my standard followup texts before we meet up. Any thoughts on how I've been doing this or my texting in general? This is something I've really struggled with and I think I'm finally starting to kinda figure it out but would appreciate any advice from you guys on how I should follow up with this girl today and others in the future.

I'm slightly projecting here, but I would have gone with more personality centered characteristics with the 2nd one since you'd already met her. Since you went serial killer it almost seemed to backtrack things in a rapport sense. Kinda like you went back to chodeland in her mind almost. Hard to explain. She did respond, but she did it from a very powerful frame. Then when you did your confirmation line later, you also managed to put yourself in a weak position by describing yourself as pretty.
Mixed with your good hair and dashing good looks, I'd say she probably felt she was meeting up with some kind of inexperienced metrosexual. Lol

As far as third girl it just doesn't seem like you dared to require her to confirm the meetup, almost like you didn't want to put yourself on the line and ask her if she was actually going to come out, and face the potential outright rejection. I definitely would have worded it different.

I thought of the makeup thing on the fly. I'm not sure if it was me or if I heard it somewhere and it just popped into my head. I like it though and I'm gonna keep using it. I see what you mean about the pretty thing.. I'll stick to makeup in the future.
As far as using the serial killer thing with the girl I'd already met, I actually thought the same thing. I know that line makes a lot more sense when you're meeting up with someone you met online, I just couldn't think of anything else to send to inspire a response. What else do you use in situations like this?

her (next morning): I think I might despise that place now that I know people call it boonies. Was running late due to jumping on a trampoline with a client for 2 hrs. I experience
her: social anxiety and opted out mostly due to nervousness. Rx pills are not something I should toy with.. they can be real fun but can be dangerous.

I didn't respond. Let me know if you guys think I was too needy or letting her walk over me with my texts. I was trying to be empathetic with her while still maintaining my boundaries and funniness. Her texts seemed kinda crazy and normally I wouldn't have responded but I did really like her in person. Anyways, it seems to have worked alright. I just called her and we had a fun conversation on the phone for about 25 minutes. At the end we decided to try again on Thursday.. I told her she's buying the first round to make it up to me. If she flakes we're done and I'll be out beasting Thursday night.
