There will definitely be short term changes in your behavior, especially in the moment. You will say or not say, or do or not do certain things because you are self-aware. For long-term changes to take place you must engage in the process of looking within yourself and digging as deeply and broadly as possible to uncover negative and unhelpful patterns of behavior. If you don't commit to this over the long-term then the behavioral changes will be short lived and you'll probably go back to your old patterns soon.
