I occasionally play Football Manager and he knows about it, because i always tell girls how my save goes and update them on my young players progress. 
Yeah I would say that is legitimate. I play CS:Go sometimes during breaks between coaching sessions. Helps me clear my mind and prep for the next victim. Plus it does exercise certain mechanical skills that are intrinsic to masculine nature. Other than that I saw the valueless pursuit of video games a long time ago.

Different games have different benefits.
3 years of hybriding on RuneScape and now people can't fucking keep up with the way i use my browser. I have to legitimately slow it down 3 times so that they can follow.

Lol I was semi famous on Runescape... had around 2700 subscribers on youtube from it and my videos have in total more than 1.5million views. For sure spent too much time on it.
I learned a lot about networking there though.
