Funny new vid from Luke and Tyler.. but what'd you think of Tyler's talk on saying "thank you" in the beginning??
This is pretty much what Jabronavich and Bug Free Mind was saying, but in a different way. Gratitude is a super common thread in people who are super successful.
This and a few threads automatically starts a random file download. What's this about? I've been getting redirected to random websites that are just spam ad pages. Could this be a connection?
Also where is that dude his posts were fucking awesome along with your friends who wrote about social rich market poor. What's the title of this video, can't see it through phone
You started having automatic downloads surfing the forum Closing? That's fucked.
But what do you guys think of Tyler's take on "gratitude"?
Good video. Makes the distinction between the emotional layer and logical layer of game.
My takeaway from Tyler on saying Thank You:

I have the same issue actually. It has something to do with youtube videos being linked on the page.
Yeah so bizarre. Aight getting to the bottom of it. At least it's not spamware I'm actually quite thankful for that lol
Interesting. After watching this video i've started to say thank you a lot more haha.
Seems like saying thank you makes you happier according to research

2. Get this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.soh&hl=en
-I saw someone post about on RSDNation back in the day. This thing is legit. All you have to do is type into your phone 3 things you're grateful for, a goal you have for the day and then say something that happened that you're happy about at the end of the day. if you do this every day for about 6-9 months, it will shock you how much more positive your perspective on things becomes. At this point whenever some bull shit happens to me, my natural response is generally something like "well, yeah... that sucked ass. But, this this and this happened that was good"
Been trying the app now for a week and i THINK, i'm actually already seeing results. Just feeling more grateful for everything so my energy is alot more positive :)
I found this interesting article aswell

Ways to cultivate gratitude
Gratitude is a way for people to appreciate what they have instead of always reaching for something new in the hopes it will make them happier, or thinking they can't feel satisfied until every physical and material need is met. Gratitude helps people refocus on what they have instead of what they lack. And, although it may feel contrived at first, this mental state grows stronger with use and practice.
Here are some ways to cultivate gratitude on a regular basis.
Write a thank-you note. You can make yourself happier and nurture your relationship with another person by writing a thank-you letter expressing your enjoyment and appreciation of that person's impact on your life. Send it, or better yet, deliver and read it in person if possible. Make a habit of sending at least one gratitude letter a month. Once in a while, write one to yourself.
Thank someone mentally. No time to write? It may help just to think about someone who has done something nice for you, and mentally thank the individual.
Keep a gratitude journal. Make it a habit to write down or share with a loved one thoughts about the gifts you've received each day.
Count your blessings. Pick a time every week to sit down and write about your blessings — reflecting on what went right or what you are grateful for. Sometimes it helps to pick a number — such as three to five things — that you will identify each week. As you write, be specific and think about the sensations you felt when something good happened to you.
Pray. People who are religious can use prayer to cultivate gratitude.
Meditate. Mindfulness meditation involves focusing on the present moment without judgment. Although people often focus on a word or phrase (such as "peace"), it is also possible to focus on what you're grateful for (the warmth of the sun, a pleasant sound, etc.).
Did you guys also know that latin americans feel the most positive emotions in the world, and that hispanics in the U.S live longer than whites despite socio economic disadvantages and poverty?

“That so many people report experiencing positive emotions in Latin America at least partly reflects the cultural tendency in the region to focus on the positives in life,” the Gallup report suggests.
Just my own theory, but i think that gratitude --> happines -->makes you live longer
But what do you guys think of Tyler's take on "gratitude"?
I think gratitude is a feeling you get when you are present and postitive. I feel much more grateful when I'm present and not
thinking about how a situation is helping me achieve a specific goal.
Of course you do feel gratitude towards a person that helps you out. But I think Tyler's take on gratitude here is a more subtle, almost constant, all-encompassing mood/ outlook on life that stems ultimately from presence and detaching from your ego.
Like when you feel more present, you can look at trees or random architecture and be like 'damn that looks so nice' and really appreciate it twithout attaching any GOAL behind it.
I guess I understood gratitude as less about something that is given or shown from A to B. But instead more about a general feeling of happiness where you are actually grateful for all the things you are experiencing in that moment and because your SELF is not the point, you can even be grateful towards adversity.
^ I agree.
