Girl i approached talks to her boss, he offers me a job in sales.
Apparently i'm a ''born salesman''.
All i did was keep her entertained (by amusing myself) for 10 minutes so she doesn't drag her friend away (my wingmano was talking to her).
hahaa yeah sales is great for a lot of us.
That being said, there are some pitfalls with the job:
1. It can get repetitive
2. It can be easy to get stuck in an entry-level position with a lack of upward mobility
3. You want to make sure you're selling the right kind of product - in today's world, I would recommend you really look into going into some kind of saas sales, or mobile advertising (appnexus, google etc.)
But yeah, sales is awesome for us, but I have to make sure that I warn others of some of the pitfalls that I've seen, and SO FAR luckily avoided. Although, I will say that I am not selling the right product, and at the end of the day, it's going to be an issue for me 3-4 years out potentailly if I don't figure out how to pivot out of this
Yeah just make sure it's not some MLM gig. They make you feel special then tell you the job is door to door sales. Or creeping up on people at the mall. For $30 a pop!

lol
did that for a month, never got rejected THAT much in my life
but on a serious note, what does a "real" sales job entail in your opinion manwhhore, pottedflowers?
I always thought sales was this , door to door and creeping on people at the mall
lol pretty sure it's basically gonna be me creeping on people around town, yeah.
Atlho there is already a lot of sales people doing it and their approach to it is fucking terrible, i'm pretty sure i can execute better.
Sure. A "real" sales job is six figures a year
;)

Dude you def. want to be looking ahead. Taking this job, could be legit, I don't know much abou tit. But from what you've said - I'd take a moment to really reflect on whether this is a job that is moving you forward.
You want to be moving forward at all times - whether it's a role that is going to teach you a skill you need to learn, give you an opportunity you've been wanting to have etc.
Unless you're like in hs or early college, you really should be thinking a couple moves ahead and not just settling for this kinda stuff.. not tryna be judgmental but def. trying to instill a strategic mindset in the way we approach these things
