Good in field, garbage at phone game...

I decided to make an account here because I'm losing a lot of near-pulls and other solid interactions with phone game. I feel like I can play it pretty well if we somehow fall into a roleplay or get on a funny topic, but I have a lot of trouble facilitating that unless there was some good situational banter to play off of.

The think one of the main issues is just transitioning from the way I am in field. I'm very direct and my humor is more about how I'm making the girl feel in the moment rather than being objectively funny. It's somewhat hard to describe, but a lot of the off the wall txting stuff that people have success with would seem massively incongruent to the girl.

Here's an example from a girl I made out with a probably could have pulled if not for her friend:

Me: Get home safe - xxxx
Me: (next day, we were both at a big festival) i need a boat, got half a mil to spare? :)
Me: *call her 2 days later and leave a message*
Her: (1 day later): Hey xxxx! been crazy, how are you?
Me: haha Starbucks customers getting out of hand? I'm doing awesome, tired but awesome
Her: Haha, recovering from ______ and had side jobs all week
Me: this was my first time at ______. So much fun. Plus found out my friend can't swim lol
Her: Oh shit
Me: hahaha holy shit
Me: whoops wrong person
Me: xxxx are you around this weekend?
Her: ____ tomorrow, _____ saturday and _____ most likely sunday
Me: I'm free sunday night. you up for grabbing a drink?
Her: That sounds good, lets play it by ear. My weekends are kinda nuts and I'm kind of a spur of the moment kinda girl
Me: perfect

Found out my friend's band was playing sunday so I called her and invited her to that. No response. Txt'd her 2 days later, no response.

This is pretty typical for me with really hot girls. Sometimes they stall out even worse than that. With less attractive girls I can usually just txt them anything and they'll often meet me at a bar near my place.
