GoPro's.. Someone have the scoop?

The more expensive ones offer higher frame rates, which is desirable for sports clips that get lots of editing down like slow mo. For your purpose though, your fine with the cheaper ones, the only issue about gopros is they have shitty audio quality (LIKE SUPER SHITTY).

They are the best camera for the price though, me and my buddies used to use them skiing

The newer ones may have better audio though or special attachments, last gopro I used was from like 2009

Right I just plan on having a separate recorder and I'll sync up the audio to the footage afterwards. 

What type of wireless microphone were you looking at?

Those can get pretty expensive.

Yeah someone will be holding it. Sasha Daygame sent me his recording stats I got to look it up. It's not that expensive 

Me and my buddie we purchase 2 GoPro Hero3 White Edition, White Edition because the quality we target is 720p60.

Why 720p60 ? Because you have the second best record time with a standard quality (first one will be 720p30 but you can't get a great slowmotion).

With this you need the batterie bacpac to have the maximum record time.

I will show you everything when I'll be in Vegas.

Why do I want slow motion? 

Believe me, you want slowmotion.

However you can change the setting as you like and come back to 720p30.

For your post edition, if you want to make a scene you shot in slowmotion.

Let's say you want to make a compilation of your infield like alex 201X video, while editing you can have a smooth slowmotion on some part...

720p60 it's 60 fps and that give you a smooth slowmotion when you edit your video.

Slowmotion is created via your video editor, it's not a GoPro parameter, and it's up to you to make it or not. With 30 fps, 720p30 you got a stifle slowmotion due to less image per second.

By the way the recorder you use for this infield is the Olympus recorder ?

slow motion can be useful to point out subtleties in bodylanguage and eye contact. At the hotseat they would sometimes stop the video and go frame by frame for a bit. Other dudes like Steve Jabba seem to do it as well
