They're haters plan and simple. 

Phelps is a "heterosexual" cisgendered white male, and in the SJW view its not possible for a woman of any color, or person of color, a gay person, or a transperson, or someone who is genderqueer to commit a crime against a straight white male.  If anything his white, male privilege raped her while they were having consensual "sex."

They even cannibalize their own as long as its a "white male" they're hating on.  Some choice quotes:
