Hypnosis Techniques FOR Insomnia & Making Yourself Sleep
https://www.manwhore.org/sleep-hypnosis/
^Came across this article a week or two ago and never gave it the time of day. Just browsed through and thought it was a cool tool for the toolbox. (Honestly, never thought I'd use it :D)
Fun Stuff Ahead:
This past night I COULD NOT sleep for whatever reason. Don't have any sleep issues whatsoever but tonight was just one of those nights where constant mental chatter was keeping me up. I prefer meditating in the mornings anyways so I didn't feel like trying to calm my thoughts down through presence. Funny enough, I thought of these two exercises and followed them just like the article said.
It started with a deep breath, *exhale*...
First, I performed the misty boat visualization. I imagined myself in a deep forest on a cloudy day down to the smell of pine and the moist feeling of soil on my bare feet. I came into an opening admist the shrubbery and saw a clear river just wide enough to dock a few small boats by the shore. I walked through mild haze and onto the wooden dock and began unloading thoughts from my head and into each of the boats. I compartmentalized each boat for a specific thought pattern. One for game and women, one for fitness, one for my career etc. etc. until all the boats were locked and loaded. Finally, I cut each of them loose and watched as they drifted away into the haze never to be seen again.
I started to feel noticeably calmer and more realxed...actually, I felt like I was going to pass out. Its crazy to think but I was so excited as this was happening. My thoughts were going, "Holy Shit! This is working!!".
I then segwayed into the second exercise to see if it would do the final trick...
Slowly but surely, I pictured a black dementoresque creature from harry potter slowly creep up and enshroud my body from bottom to top. As he would consume inches upon inches of my body at a time, I started to fall deeper and deeper into sleep.
I made it right to my waist, and that's the last I can remember...
IT WORKED!
I woke up feeling SO refreshed it was unbelievable. I even beat my alarm clock.
Badabam! Check this shit out next time you're having troubles ma pizzaslices.
Lol awesome. Yeah my old mentor taught me these. Special Forces CPT "Green Beret". You can look him up his name's *edited for fuck's sake*.
I bought your binural beats audio a few hours ago because of it lol!
You say you only use it 2-4x a week?
Is it specifically for insomnia? Or just overrall calming down in general?
jihad, I don't even get done with using the first one and I pass out after I see my worries float away into the fog. I think the second one only worked for me once. I used to have trouble visualizing when I tried it but I think I try that one next time.
@jon: I found him but the information that they gave about him is very vague, I guess because of his status. I had seen an article, where someone went up to him and told him that their mom had seen him on the tv and felt so "comforted" by him. Overall cool dude.
Yes it'll teach you a lot of body awareness. And your physiological control will go up
The cool thing is you learn how to use this technique even without the audio after a while. Maybe not as effective but learning this technique will defintely make you fall asleep faster in general.
I don't really have a problem with falling asleep anymore but i find myself waking up in the middle of the night, especially if i have something important to do the next morning. I'd wake up thinking oh shit it's 7am i have to get up, and then i look at the clock and realize it's only 2:30 am, 5 am etc. Does anyone else have this problem?
Sorta like you "tricked" your body into falling asleep early and then boom it wakes up from its spell?

Really? Thats sick. Im guessing you have the audio papaya? How often are you tinkering with it?

I think people have trouble falling asleep because they're stressed and therefore tense in the body, not really relaxed. I can put my body in a relaxed state. But if i have to wake up early i always seem to be worried about not waking up in time even if i fall asleep fast. That's why i wake up in the middle of the night thinking it's time to get up

I have the audio yes but I don't use it anymore . I use the same technique used in it but I don't need the audio.
