If every man lost his job tomorrow, the country would collapse. But if every girl was fired from her job tomorrow..
"If every girl was fired from her job tomorrow, elementary schools would have to shut down for a couple days, but otherwise life would go on as usual.
If every man lost his job tomorrow, the country would collapse."
Lol I just read this in an article!! What do you guys think?
I think that is partially true. The author is obviously exaggerating, but I think he's on the right track. If all the women in the country stopped working, it would have a massive negative impact on everything, but I think eventually the country would stabilize, even if it tooks months (or years) to accomplish.
If all the men in the country stopped working, I don't think there would enough women who would rise to the situation and do what was required of them. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if their first course of action was to write a man-hating article on Jezebel doing nothing more than complaining about the predictament they now find themselves in (kind of joking, kind of not). And even if they did, I doubt it would last because the roles they would have to fill would bring them so much unhappiness they would eventually just stop, leaving the country to collapse.
I think girls like the idea of being able to do anything a guy can, but in no way do they want to. They don't want to be scientists, architects, and especially not manual laborers.
This was an interesting reply from a dude on RSDn.. " It's simplified in a black and white manner, but I agree.
Women are not concerned with civilization by default programming. They are concerned with nest building and nurturing.
I have a construction site right in front of my office window right now and over the course of a day while being at the phone a lot I tend to look at the tower crane and things going on over there occasionally. It's funny. The construction site has been there for 2 months now and I've never seen a single woman walking by stop and look at the crane, the workers etc. Not a single one. Men on the other hand stop all they time and have a look and just observe. Literally from cab driver to CEO. There's a different curiousness in the male psyche regarding the outside world aka civilization."
I'd agree.
