The insidious nature of seeking approval/validation

It puts you completely out of touch with your own reality. You forget not only your own value, but more importantly you lose touch with the depth of life that you are, which is your value. every human has value deep within. Looking for any kind of validation takes you out of that and sets a situation where eventually helplesness sets in. It certainly works for a while but there comes a time when it just doesnt do the trick and drama sets in.

I know from experience. However there is ALWAYS a good in everything. The lower you are the more crucial it becomes to truly accept yourself. To accept every emotion, every thought, every desire, every compulsion, everything. To feel everything...ina sense its a rebirth process....or a coming of age ritual. Pain forces you to step out of the known. It forces you to face ths fear "I dont know who I am anymore!" It forces you in a sense to truly truly be a human being. Be the living breathing thing that no longer resists and is open to ALL of life, which includes all of the confusion struggle and fear. Be with it all. Experience everything with ZERO expectations and you find out how strong you are. How well you can navigate the rough waters for you no longer believe you are the waters. We can never make the rough waters complely.leave but.if you can be there with them one day you might notice the waters are a bit calmer. So in a sense nothing is bad. Depression...anxiety....fear....they can all be viewed as servants. Servants showing us that the only way to liberation is pure acceptance.
