Investigation of the world's top financial networks
http://divinecosmos.com/start-here/davids-blog/1023-financial-tyranny
It'll probably take a couple hours to read this but I recommend you all do. Pretty mindblowing
Here's an excerpt:
"To review, 80 percent of the world’s profits are being earned by a ‘core’ group of 1,318 corporations.
Is the lawsuit real?
Crazy what happened to David and his son.
Gonna have to do some research but if it is then some of the largest organisations in the world that have been stealing from people, the lawsuit was in 2011 though so seems like it didn't make an impact
Didn't read yet, but sounds sickening.
I really don't understand why some of these people and corporations want SO MUCH money. Once someone's networth is in the hundreds of millions, they really don't need all of that cash. I could be misinformed, but I don't see many major acts of philanthropy anymore. Nothing on the same scale of JP Morgan bailing out the US Gov. in the 1890's. The dude literally wrote an 100 million dollar check to the government.
Yeah that's correct, it's super fucked up and elite private bankers have literally taken a system that was simply intended to share our resources and demonized it. Now the federal reserve has bailed out enough companies to eradictate poverty and hunger hundreds of times over. But they value their network of power too much to realise the effect it's having on the planet.
the problem here is not the large corporations but the governments favouritism. which is why socialism doesnt work.
In all honesty corporations are just too big for the government to handle these days. They know they're corrupt, they know they're not in line with the common good, they want to be held back but they just can't blame themselves for doing it when everyone else is. Lobby groups for big business? Geezez christ. That's corruption. McDonalds poisons us with the cheapest ingredients they can find, but creates grandiose commercials and embeds them in our consciousness. Cigarettes, oil, gas-guzzling commuter cars. "No sorry there is no global warming." "No our tests indicate cigarettes don't cause cancer."
Very interesting. He makes a good point they did come out with several non sugar options.
I'll tell you what tho, and I'd be very curious what some of you fitness buffs think.. but I feel even the "zero calorie" energy drinks make me keep weight on. Any truth to this?
Energy drinks/soda are awful regardless of their caloric content. Calories are the least of my worries when consuming these drinks.
Geez the world is so fucked up lol.
and yeah, the calorie content isn't the only issue. Either the stuff in there is bad for you or bad for you in the doses they prescribe. B vitamins? Great! ...when obtained from fresh fruit and veggies. from red bull or five hour energy it is in toxic doses. Your skin becoming flushed is the niacin, in amounts that are bad for you. Some people can probably drink em and get away with no weight gain but they can wreak havoc on your metabolism, your GI tract, overall function lol.
They wreak havoc on your metabolism and GI tract? Wtf. How
lol maybe wreaking havoc was a strong term. But the shit inside energy drinks can create GI issues (heartburn, trouble digesting, etc) and b vitamin toxicity can cause liver damage if you drink them regularly. Any extra toxins can fuck with your metabolism.
unless you drank them a lot what is most likely happening is you consumed energy drinks at times when you were sleeping poorly, eating bad and drinking... At least that's when I have ever had them lol, and that's what caused you to hold onto the weight. Not rte energy drunk in itself.
if you have to rely on energy drinks for energy most of the time there are bigger issues aka lack of sleep and shitty diet.
No there was just a period of time where I really just liked drinking them lol. I'd have at least two a day for weeks on end. And I realized I was remaining bloated, not losing weight, even though I was hitting the gym every day, running 4-5 times a week and boxing.
Holy hell haha yeah that would have the negative effect were talking about hahah. I used to drink them a lot when I was young. Now just coffee and the odd preworkout drank
I personally don't drink a single drop of soda or energy drinks - anything with high fructose corn syrup alters the state of your intestinal bacteria and there's a knock on effect from there, Icy is spot on. (There's a great documentary on this but I cant find it)
Sugar is totally unnecessary in the human diet, I've tried to cut it out completely and to be honest when I do have red bull it makes me feel worse. The amount of friends I have who are depressed because they drink 10+ cans of coke a day, and seem totally perplexed when I suggest it could be fizzy drinks
