Just Finished Up a Bartending Course - Got an interview underway
Heard this sort of job was the shit for extra cash while going to school and for meeting chicks on the regular. Hope I can nail it and get some solid stuff going for me. Interview in 2 weeks. Trying to memorize as many drinks as I can as per the sheet they asked me to review.
Any fellow bartenders on here? What do you think of the job? Pros and Cons?
I'm excited as ever.
They mostly want you to be able to pour an accurate shot, handle a beer pour, and be able to TALK.

Hey man, I have a second interview coming up for a bartending gig on the 25th. How did yours go?
i have no formal experience but got referred by a guy who knows the owner and hiring manager. Hopefully I land it. Gonna rewor my résumé, practice pouring shots, memorize their drink menu, and get TABC certified before I even walk in the door. Gotta put in that work son. Let me know if you have any advice

I'm in the same boat as you, I haven't heard back yet from that place they were looking for ask meow with a lot of experience it was a five star hotel downtown. I got a couple other places lines up and I got all my certifications done. Just waiting to land a gig. The best advice I got was memorizing the most common drinks people have in general, like vodka 7, rum and coke, etc. Then you can adjust to menus based on the place. Not all places off the same types of drinks.
Word. Keep hustling I'm sure you'll get something good. I want get some experience now so I can work at gay clubs when I graduate. Gonna try my hand at the IM thing now that I hae money built up from my internship and bartend on the side. Wanna be completely financially free by the time I hit 25. I worked for a badass company downtown. Loved all my coworkers, the culture, etc. but an office job is an office job and it's draining as fuck. Don't wanna end up like them
Yeah bud I actually landed a job at a nightclub! They want me bar backing until I get the hang of things since I don't have any experience, then they'll let me Bartend so I don't mind that. Gotta start somewhere and it beats a desk/labour job in my eyes.
