Got a huge promotion to be director of sales for the company .

We ended the call in a stalemate. They were unwilling to budge period, and I was really dissapointed in the way they were handling the situation, and told them exactly that. Anyway, at the end of the convo they basically just said, "think about it and let us know by the end of the weekend"..

Got a text from the founder of the company about 15 minutes after the call: "Hey Potted, wanted to make sure there wasn't any bad blood/ heated feelings going into the weekend after our earlier convo. Lemme know if you have a minute to chat"

Honestly - for me - It's about leaving it 100% out on the court. But at the same time, not doing anything stupid that will inhibit my ability to fight in the future. But if you don't fight for yourself in a negotiation, and leave everything out in the ring, how can you ever look at yourself in the mirror. That's it.

At the end of the day, If you want to be respected, you have to act in a way where you can respect yourself.

Awesome. Congrats. So the promotion was a direct result of you sticking to your guns in the negotiation?
