Go down that path for a bit,

Go down that path for a bit, then come back out of it and start thinking again. The brain/mind is a muscle and a tool, yours simply likes to take off by itself. It's like an untrained dog. You have to train it to not shit in the house, to come when you call, and to bring you a beer if it doesn't want its ass beat.
