So about an hour before our date, the first girl hits me up via text with the following message, lmfao (you can't make this shit up):
"Hi. You're going to kill me. So my roommates grandma died today, who she was really close with. She is a little bit of a mess and wants me to hang with her for a little. I'm still gonna try to make it tonight but I just wanted to give you the heads up that I might not. If something else you want to do comes up, please do it. I'm really sorry. I really do want to get drinks but I really care about my roommate and need to be here for her"
