Anyway. Potted, you get any buyers lined up yet? How are you managing people to wait in line? I have friends in line for me, I thought for a second about getting strangers, but didn't want to risk them walking off with the phones, and definitely don't feel like standing outside in the heat while they go shopping. My plan Friday is to sit in my big ass comfortable air conditioned house while someone else goes shopping for me LOL.
So this Asian girl in Van-city I know, I just found out her family is uber rich in China. She and her siblings got a $100 million inheritance EACH. Blowing my mind right now. The whole family is super fucking successful, mom is a marketer, dad is some industrial executive, aunts uncles all run big companies. She's offering to introduce me. The fucking people you attract into your life when you have a Success Mindset.

I'm definitely going bigger with the Apple watch thing. $100k or so next round, just have to make sure I have buyers lined up - which looks like I do, didn't even have to try. Design it out before doing anything, and the right people come along at the right time. Getting 50 or so people to wait in line for the Apple watch thing is going to be a fun challenge. I'm thinking my fraternity alumniship is going to pay off finally haha. 12 year alumni needs a favor - get in line pledges! BTW - frats/sororities would definitely be best bet in regards to college students. Only way you can get someone to organize something big like that with little hassle and risk on your side. Possibly offer to sponsor them (fund a party) in return for organizing the whole thing.

These are called "regional lockouts" on products. So you selling your products to others where it has already been released is not illegal. It is illegal during the window lag between USA and other countries that you're shooting for. The gov't of China hasn't approved it, it's illegal there until Apple and China work out a date. I'm selling for $1900 each. I think he has a kiosk or store somewhere. He has a list of serious buyers already, expecting the phones within a few days. I think he's selling for well over $2k. Looks like the guys in Dubai are offering over $2300 for the 6 plus 128gb. Wish I had more time to find buyers.
Best bet is to start building a big ass list of interested buyers months ahead of the launch, then pick and choose the best ones at launch time. Or find someone local in Dubai who will pick up a big order and distribute themselves.
I have buyers in China who are putting an order together. They aren't time constrained so I can do this at my leisure, and they're offering over double on each order. Looks like this could be an ongoing thing for me year around as orders come through. Plus they're gathering a big list for the Apple watch thing, so I'll probably deal exclusively with them on all the next product launches.
Did you guys get accounts on dubizzle? Looks like the most serious place to build leads. I don't even see how 1400 will cover shipping. 10 phones for me in one package is going to be ~$500. Start talking to guys on bestblackhatforum and setup accounts, start building leads early. Do what Com says and post local classifieds. I'm sure any serious buyer will want to speak over the phone.

Urgent: make sure you get the no contract t-mobile version, they will tell you it's locked for 30 days, but it is actually unlocked. Speak to your buyer to confirm everything

Well that was fun. Package is out, everything done on my side - buyer releasing funds upon delivery. I'll be much better prepared for the Apple watch launch. I have a mall developer in China now putting a huge list of buyers together. All I have to work on now is organizing a bunch of people to purchase.
81.5% ROI in a few days of work, should be much better next time.

So it looks like I bit off way more than I can chew by meeting these Chinese people. They want to put together a massive order for the Apple watch and offer 2.5 - 3 times the price!
If you guys are interested in getting in on this, let me know and you can help me fill the orders in January. Now that I got the buyer situation figured out - which just happened to be the most difficult step - all I have to do is organize some big groups of people to help me purchase.

yeah I got a lot of emails after the launch too, but I had all the buyers I would want, I wouldn't have been able to do it bigger on such short notice. Things went GREAT though. I had 4 people in line, worked great, didn't even have to take the day off work. I had a friend wait in line with 3 quasi-strangers and had him give them the cash right before they went in and collected when they got out. Worked seamlessly, double my money on three phones, sold two for cost to friends, and sold the rest for 1400 to local people.
Thanks for the help and ideas jabro and potted, I'll definitely have a plan for the next one more than two days before launch haha but this turned out to be a pretty nice payday at the cost of no sleep thursday night.
