Next teleconference
Media, pop culture and "modern society" are designed to make us beta. To be a beta is to concede that leadership has been established within the tribe and that its not us. If we make peace with that then a part of us can relax and put faith into the hands of whoever or whatever we have surrendered control to: Jack Bauer, Chuck Norris, Cartman, the government, Jesus, the dudes from Led Zeppelin, "the dude", fuckin Kanye, whoever, we don't even know.
I wrote this post during a mushroom trip lol. I found myself pondering the ways in which I'm alpha, what areas of my life I need to take more action and responsibility for, thought patterns which lead me one way or the other. It was a pretty mind expanding experience actually. I kind of saw it as a two step process; first is taking action/responsibility for life (taking the reins), second is making peace with that responsibility. I've generally always made moves and taken action in my own life based on my own passion, desire, value system. Even if it pissed people off or disappointed people around me. Where I feel like I've been hung up at times is in feeling overwhelmed and anxious sometimes over the responsibility. It has driven me unconscious at times or made me doubt myself which is actually submissive (or beta) behavior. The solution, which I have been embodying more and more, is to have faith. Faith that I will find the resources I need when I need them and that I will always figure out a way to survive, to succeed.
Cool, and yeah you're right. Surrending responsibility means you get to take the easy route, but it also means you get to have everyone tell you what to do.

Is very easy to give your concept of reality to society and to get in a habit of looking to other people to tell you how to live your life, because well if society knows how to make the human species fly then they must know about this other things too, and they must be right, right? I mean look at the machines our species have built and all the knowledge we have. Also is easy to give the responsibility to others so we don't have to think for ourselves and put our sweat and tears to figure shit out. And then there's the fact that we are social learners, in one level is a blessing and in another level is a curse, so we have to learn how to use it in our favor. Because of those circumstances the natural tendency is to give authority to society.
