"Ok"
If I've built atleast some good vibes/value between me and a girl (still in the beginning of the interaction) and she gives me a low-investment / trying-hard-to-impress answer I just reply "Ok" ... and then I let her hear the sound of crickets in the night. What this does is it creates a vacuum and makes her chase. Fuck, I love it, lol. It works more often than not. Example:
*Snip*
Me: Where are you from
Her: From the country with the most beautiful women in the world!!!
Me: Ok
*Makes her listen to crickets*
Her: Where are you from???
Another example...This girl wrote much in the beginning, but she quickly wrote less and less:
*Snip*
Me: You seem deceivingly cute and dangerous.
Her: Probably am ... ;) (I'm like mehh, whatever. I don't care about your low-investment shit anymore)
Me: Ok
*Bringing in them crickets again*
Her: Tell me about yourself?

Both of these seemed like the girl was setting you up to come back with a good/funny comment to get the interaction rolling? I'm all for this tactic but these didn't really seem low investment on the girls part.

Brah, it's mostly when they're acting up and expecting ego caressing, not just low-investment as I originally claimed. The first girl was giving me an attitude and I used this to stop it.
