Potentially life-changing, simple, inexpensive product -- Breathe Right Nasal strips
Breathing through my nose has always been challenging for me. I've never been able to do it while exercising -- light yoga is as far as I've gone. And I've taken breathing seminars and work on my breathing every day.
Out west I was OK in general because the lack of humidity dried my nose out and made lil nuggets that clung to the sides of the nasal cavity. Since moving back east I feel like my nose has been stuffy non-stop. I attribute some of this to the increase in humidity for sure, but also there are more flowering plants and it rains more, so there is much more pollen in the air and thus potential for allergies.
Someone suggested trying nasal strips, so I bought some and put a pair on last night. The difference was immediate and amazing! Before I felt like I had a cocktail straw in each nostril but after putting it on there was no resistance. After I laid my head on my pillow I could actually feel the air rushing out of my nose as I was breathing.
I woke up feeling more rested and calm than I have in at least 6 weeks. I'm going to continue wearing them at night and will update this thread later. If there is any chance of getting surgery to make this permanent, I will find a way to pay for it.
Cool I forgot about these. Post a linky??
That link is to the regular strength. There are also "extra" which have another rib but I've heard they be too much, and also "advanced" if you're sick.
every try a saline nasal spray? I have the same problem and this works pretty well

That helps for sure, but its not the same as the dual wind-tunnels created by the nasal strips.
I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that normally it takes a real effort to fill my lungs up ALL the way but when I'm wearing the nasal strips and I inhale even half as hard they feel like they're so full they'll burst!
I ordered some we'll see.
Another thing to consider on the subject of nasal breathing is mouth tape. The habit of breathing through the mouth while sleeping can lead to a lot of different issues. Dry mouth, sore throat, allergies/sinus infections, snoring and sleep disturbances such as sleep apnea.
Wearing mouth tape every night for at least 3 weeks is supposed to retrain the habit of nasal breathing. I've started using this product and it works well. http://www.amazon.com/NEW-Celebreeze-24-Pieces-preventing/dp/B00LASPY6Q/...

At first I thought you were trollin like this
I'll think about it. Thanks for the heads up
Sounds like you'd just give yourself sleep apnea
LOL... It's always good to have extra mouth tape on hand whenever you have annoying guests over.
