Public speaking course is having a basterizing effect on my game

This is in front of like 10 people, i get in front of the room, the first thing she tells me is i am not present. She says I am thinking of what i am going to say ten lines down. I do my tolle exercises, calm down and restart.
The second thing she tells me is ia m seeking validation or qualifying what i am saying, with a subtle things like "pretty much" or "do you get it?" type phases. I should be TEll. Not asking. . I fucking SLOW the fuck down, calm down and restart.
Then she tells me that when u have those fillers in your sentences, and what i am saying is not concise and hard hitting, the audience will view the extra stuff as fillers, and subsciously will feel that your value as a presenter was only 90%. Being concise and hard hitting 100% masculine.
The biggest lesson however came at the end when she told me, that overall people fèar "taking charge or having power" "having that complete power over other people". And that has rung true for me. I need to give myself the power. Overall, though you can tell when you are losing your authority over the audience. When what you say isn't concise or isn't rellevent.

She sounds like she knows exactly what she's talking about. She's also parroting our coaching sessions ;)
Make sure she allows you to speak though. Some teachers don't understand they can't just tell you what you're doing wrong they have to work with you to build it.
Great class to be taking.

Re: P
That being said I hope she's giving you feedback on what TO do. It's very easy for someone to tell you what you're doing wrong. Women are masterful at it lol

@Vince:
Honestly Jon, I am happy i did our coaching sessions before taking the course. I am pretty much practicing our drills in class. If I hadn't done the exercises, i wouldn't know what to work on when i was in class, or know how i am coming across is dominant or not. . I am certainly not going to let a female tell me how to talk to a female lol thats why i have you for :)
"let me tell you about our first date"
