Met this girl Friday, pulled but no sex. Details in my FR thread. Started texting her today, she's visiting home from school and lives 30 mins away from me so my first goal was to figure out if she has a car.
me: Hey girl I need a getaway driver for a heist I'm pulling, you in?
her: haha what
me: my spaceship is too loud, I hope you have a car
her: I do
me: Cool, you'll need to keep your small eyes open. Whats your schedule like for the week?
her: Haha. Im going back to Austin Thursday but I should be free Tuesday and Wednesday
me: Tomorrow then. We'll get drinks first. I'm better at scaling walls when drunk. How's 830 in midtown sound?
Nothing yet and it's been a couple hours. Any tips? Particularly on the last text. It seems like this is a recurring thing for me, I'll be texting back and forth with a girl and then I bring up logistics and no response. Is there a better way for me to suggest a location? Do I need to send something else now?

I usually try to take a more definitive tone when setting the meetup..something I learned from manwhore. Instead of "how's xyz time sound?" Opt for "meet me at xyz time abc place."

1st step- general schedule- which days is she free
2nd step- More specific- time of day she is free
3rd step- even more specific- location of meetup
Also- I've found myself noticing the following pattern:
Basically it's like call and response. You ask the question- she responds then you take that information and do something with it- and that's where the statement from you comes and ultimately, that's what actually is going to happen on the date- and she knows it.
So it would look like this:
Me: Hey beb, what time are you done with work
Her: I get off at 5
Me: Cool. I get done at 8, so we can grab drinks at 9.
And then you repeat that pattern for all of the logistical questions.
Also:

-This could also be the source of a little weirdness for her... In my opinion you went overboard on the humor. The REASON it comes across as try hard is becuase you are responding to her iod with an aggressive ioi
When a girl responds like that to you when you're offering massive value like that- you have to respond in kind... and if you dont, it will come across a little try-hard.
What I would have texted after she said "haha what" is, "Don't EVEN start with me girl" and then waited like 2 seconds and then texted a "; )" immediately after to calibrate (Or something along those lines)
-You see how that puts her on her toes and now she's back to reacting to you. Anyway- Those are some very nerdy thoughts on a pretty small text example.
