A recent observation I have every time I'm high
I have so much resistance towards the present moment that I'm stuck in a "waiting" mentality, I'm walking around trying to reach some mental projection that never occurs. And it doesn't have SHIT to do with my life circumstances lol. Everything has been going fantastic, I'm actually at a point I've been dreaming about and I am happy but something is still missing.
Obviously its a meditation thing and hopefully as I get better this feeling will dissapate but damn its kinda depressing.
Meow I hope you're seriously limiting how often you get high. It should be like.. 3x a month MAX
I smoke like once every 6 months. I've been so lazy recently and i smoked a joint last night and it's amazing how aware of my body i become and how I'm just going with the flow of things and reacting to things. damn
MW why should one limit their use of marijuana? Just wanna hear what you know about that....

lol I know dad and Ive stuck to it for the most part. I don't know where this idea that I'm a stoner originated.
Next time you find yourself thinking about something when you don't actually need to be using your mind - "Am I Present Now?" Then when your mind starts thinking again, "Am I present now?" Then walk into the other room, "am I present now?" Then you start thinking about some bullshit, "am I present now?" What about the other thing with the stuff, "am I present now?" And then that one time at the place, "am I present now?" Listen to Alan Watts, he's fucking hillarious.
Yo, there is no salvation in the future. If you're looking to the future for salvation, happiness, presence, whatever, you'll never find it.You already have everything you need inside of you. You are whole, complete and spiritually perfect Right Now.There is nothing to get. You are enough. Practice self-love in the morning and before sleeping. Tell yourself daily, "I Love You. You are an amazing person. You are an incredible person. And I Love and Accept you exactly as you are." Nobody is listening and other people's opinions don't matter. Go deeply into your heart and speak from there. You have everything you need Right Now. Just be comfortable within yourself, and know there's nothing to get out there. Nothing of importance will ever be lost, everything you need will be given to you at the right time and in the best way. When you're comfortable the answers will come from within.Don't 'go' to meditate. Just be present. Just be here. Just look and just listen. Then start asking yourself, "is there anything I can do right now, to help bring about what I desire?" "is there anything more I could be doing to achieve this, get better, etc. ?"Just be here now. And stop looking to the future for salvation, you'll never find it. And give up hope as hope is useless. There isn't anybody or anything which will come and save you. You are the creator of your own life - you are not a victim of circumstance. You and you alone are responsible for everything in your life, your reality, what has happened and what will happen. Fuck hope. The thing that has been missing from your life, is that you've been identified with the thoughts in your mind. Stop listening to them. Be Present more often. You are not the thoughts or the words in your head. You are the awareness behind them. You are the all encompassing stillness that pervades everything. Stop more often and pay attention to the Silence within you and around you.Next time you find yourself thinking about something when you don't actually need to be using your mind - "Am I Present Now?" Then when your mind starts thinking again, "Am I present now?" Then walk into the other room, "am I present now?" Then you start thinking about some bullshit, "am I present now?" Eckhart did a live meditation the other day, replay up soon: http://www.eckharttolletv.com/huffingtonpostAnd lay off the weed too. It puts you in the present moment, but honestly now that I'm fully actualized and predominantly present - there is no difference in the way I feel sober than when I'm high. The only difference is that weed makes you cloudy and slow, then you crash and lose the energy. No point really.I actually wrote something on mind control a few months ago, but didn't finish because my life exploded with all kinds of good stuff. I'll see what I can do about it.
thank you for the time you put into this post. I never realized that I was going down a path where I was turning meditation into a future projection, but thats probably why Tolle doesn't advocate a meditation practice...which I never understood, till now.
Cool mang.
If you find yourself feeling like you're missing something in life, you can also ask yourself questions in the moment as an affirmation practice. Instead of asking yourself, "why do I feel bad?" - any kind of question that focuses on what you don't want, ask questions that focus on what you desire such as, "why am I so comfortable within myself?" "why am I so good at presence?"
Negative questions make your subconscious focus on what's wrong and you play for safety / not to lose. Positive questions make your subconscious focus on finding solutions and overcoming challenges (playing to win). Always focus on what you want, and never on what you don't want. Shift your mindset the moment you notice it's off.
