Setting the rhythm

I'm trying to get a feel for how to set the rhythm. The idea comes from various RSD videos, Owen and Julien talk about it mostly. Julien's manifesto( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w65qBE-5fWg ) gives a taste of how to do it, but doesn't really get into specifics.
Does it matter at all what you say when setting the rhythm? I know to use short sentences, BR, and change topics quickly. Julien's examples in the manifesto seemed to be saying that the things he was saying were related to the girl, his feelings about her, short closed ended questions, demands. Julien's example of Owen's rhythm setting was nonsensical but had a common thread of the word 'shit'. Could you just randomly throw out words that are completely unassociated?: "Dog, missile, brat, powerful, pixies are hot, mayor, blast, homo sapiens" and as long as you get the vibe right and the BR, eye contact, proximity you're good? Next I wonder about practicing this. When I'm in the club it was kind of mentally exhausting to keep pummeling the girl, would it help to practice it at home at the wall? I was saying things like "My name is X, What's your name? love, You're from X aren't you? How long are you here for? Do you like bananas? I love you, I hate you. Maybe, perhaps, I love you, I think, in ways, what's your favorite place nearby? What's my name?" I could keep this up for 30 seconds to a couple minutes sometimes, but I think I have too many pauses for it to be completely overwhelming. I know my intent was good at times, then other times I was too focused on how to keep the pummeling going so it dispersed. I assume if I practice it at home, I can make the pummeling second nature so I can focus on intent or environmental situations.

Hmm so basically what's
Hmm so basically what's happening is that all advanced players have a particular way of connecting the dots from approach to insertion. However certain switches/psychological mechanisms need to be hit. So the path is actually similar for all girls, yet it's the guys themselves that have different strengths and weaknesses, and therefore apply themselves in slightly different ways, or more heavily in different areas, to get to that end goal.
The issue is when inexperienced guys try to apply this, they don't understand that the whole thing comes from an intrinsic familiarity already with the seduction process. So basically what they end up doing is trying to apply the concept of "rhythm" without actually having a direction to go in. So they don't have anything to calibrate to and subsequently be able to move the interaction forward.
Basically when Julien is applying "drama" game he is applying brushstrokes to the girl over and over again, back and forth (e.g. love vs. hate), and progressively leading her closer and closer to a point where she desires to be penetrated, and even more important, is compliant to it.
