Sexism May Be Harmful to Men's Mental Health... PFF (Read this shit, lol)
I think the article is unknowingly referring to dumb-dumbs who call themselves players to look cool in front of others and deceive themselves rather than actual dudes who are good with women. They probably asked the guys in the study shit like, "Do you view yourself as a 'playboy?' Do you believe you are more powerful than women?" Naturally, the guys who say yes to things like that have more instability and mental problems. I feel most guys on this forum wouldn't say yes questions like that. I personally think calling yourself a "playboy" or a "pimp" is lame as fuck, but only because I've seen so many fuckin weirdos do it to the point where I'm turned off by it.
I wouldn't expect these researchers to know the difference between a poser and guy who actually fits our definition of playboy, much less know how to screen for the difference, hence why the study looks like bullshit.
Yes. Nailed 100% of it
"Men who see themselves as playboys or as having power over women are more likely to have psychological problems than men who conform less to traditionally masculine norms"
Well because alot of times traditional masculine norms are SHIT. Breaking free from norms and thinking by yourself is definitely healthier. Doesn't make you less masculine. Isn't that what this whole "community" is about?
That's not very accurate though. Masculine norms these days are to be a pussy. For them to say the problem is because men are still sexists is incredible. Near 75% of men are either ass-kissing approval seekers or just completely shy and introverted. What they're really saying is that the men they want, are more inclined to see themselves as playboys and having power over women. Lol
