shitty response to an opener, how to react?
this morning i stopped some chick on my way home from boxing class. i looked like shit but she responded really well. she was like: "i have to go to work but you can come with me for a bit if you're headed the same way." so i walk with her and chat for about five minutes. chat wasn't exactly perfect but she was pretty attracted so she very willingly gave me number. she also told me that she works in marketing in a company about two blocks away from my house (i joked about the company being a pyramid scheme, and she was like "no no it's IT company"), and she still studies uni.
You forced the "joke". Callback humor works best when she was a part of the joke but in this case it sounds like you teased her too hard. At this point I would ignore her "What?" and change the subject by sending her a text about what you've done that day.

When a girl doesn't respond well to a joke I simply go harder with it. lol. I'm completely unthinking/unforgiving of her ignorance. Keep the frame a lot's at stake in cold approach seduction

i decided to wait til the next morning and pretend that my boxing class was that day. so i sent her this, and got no response so far (it's about 50 minutes now)
me: tough coach, and hour of boxing = hardcore *theme from rocky plays*
me: not sure how you manage to excercise in the morning
so i am thinking whether to try to force some reaction using bateman's "write something loser" but i didn't really ask a question

As far as the boxing class, you don't need to tell her (or us) about how bad ass you are. Just be you and later down the line when someone's interest probes it, you will still have interesting facts to reveal about yourself. Do not sautee the layers of your onion before the appetizer has been served.
