One of my favorite dudes ever.. Russel Brand, has an amazing degree of empathy towards women. He's past "game". He knows first and foremost girls want to feel loved and sympathized with, and made to feel good. Check out how he handled Katy Perry:

Katy performed at the 2009 MTV VMA’s which Russel Brand hosted. After her performance he announced to the audience, “Katy Perry didn’t win an award and she’s staying at the same hotel as me, so she’s gonna need a shoulder to cry on. So in a way, I’m the real winner tonight.”

Done.

If you can handle Katy Perry then your game is right on.

This totally relates back to

This totally relates back to the whole " the deeper I get into game the less seriously I take women" concept. Girls have so little control on their emotions, they are foolish at times. It is the grounded masculine energy that assures them not to worry when they feel overwhelmed.

I also find it funny how hooked some girls get to guys who can provide this sense of comfort.

First of all EVERYONE wants a strong partner... or at least they should.  You're talking about Katy Perry, she's probably one of the most bad ass chicks out there right now.  She is providing the comfort, not him.  She practically runs the world with her confidence and you think her emotions get in the way...that's foolish.  She's probably for SURE attracted to grounded masculine energy...why? because she's a bad ass!!

Yeah Fembot's right. Lots of girls are well-grounded and incredibly solid about getting stuff done. And Katy is a phenom

I totally get what your saying. I feel that IN GENERAL girls are bouncing off the walls with emotion. I deal with highschool girls, so that's probably my biased :p

Some chicks have their shit on lock, and I love it. Like MW told me in one of my first sessions, a bad ass dude needs a bad ass woman!

People, and women especially,

People, and women especially, thrive on praise... are you "higher value" for  judging someone or for praising them? Empathy is selflessness. This is something I've observed in every single damn natural I know! They have zero judgements, the next level is praise.

I recently had a situation with my roommate's GF. I got home from work and she started bitching at me about my ONLY item in the fridge being on top of her cake (the fridge is 100% full of their stuff) hence mine being on her cake. It's complete bullshit. but I didn't respond to her bitchiness, even though I knew she was probably just projecting her BS about some other issue onto me, I instead gave her some praise about how she wanted to keep the kitchen clean. She's super fuckin nice to me now lol.

So yeah, I'm no expert... but I'd say having empathy is like operating on a higher level than most people, then the next level is taking that empathy and knowing how to use it to redirect toward a positive AKA LEADERSHIP. I personally like to phrase like this:

Ok, I know... But I really appreciate how you like to make sure the fridge is organized...

Ok, I know... But I like how you [X]....

Even if there isn't a negative situation that you're dealing with, it's always a good idea to give out praise. This is why I don't subscribe to the "neg" school of thought. You can either come from a low place and "neg" to bring her down to your level. Or "praise" to bring her UP to your level. This is why the "OMG you're gorgeous" opener works...
