"There's something absolutely wrong we do to boys before they grow into men"
What do you guys think about this?

It's conflicting because I don't understand any of this at a deeper level, but I am sure some of you would.
Coming into this community, I felt as if I woke up to the idea that there was a 'right way' to be a man and growing up l felt like my masculinity was shamed from me and I grew up without a strong idea of what it meant to be 'a man' or myself.
This video makes sense in regard to negative social conditioning ideas and pressures put on boys to 'be men' but not exactly the men we aim to be in the community...
Something like that.
What do you think?
Be a man.
They're trying to superficially link cultural "narratives" to violence. They go from "be a man" to talking about bullying. I think it has partly to do with it, but there's a lot more going on with it than that. Also as it's becoming more and more abundantly clear that girls are the ones actually responsible for "slut shaming", they will have to come to terms with how mothers/women have a huge role in this whole "boys coming of age" issue as well.
