I may head out to a different country for a month or 2, and I will head out alone. Maybe intercept a friend briefly abroad. Possible locations, romania, bulgaria, peru, thailand...

Have any of you fellas went out traveling alone, for month+? What'd ya do? I thinking to do some martial arts, meet people and go back packing out and about

And if any of you have have been to these countries, what'd ya do, what kind of experience did you have

Even with your martial arts

Even with your martial arts skills I'd see you becoming a target in certain places mang. I'd count South America out unless you were with friends.

I was down with a couple buddies in Colombia.. as soon as I left back for the states they got robbed on a train. Lol

Pfft, don't fall into that BS

Pfft, don't fall into that BS hype and be controlled by fear. Bad shit can happen anywhere in the world... Just play it smart and don't run around looking like a tourist/backpacker or hang out in bad areas. That's how you make yourself a target. Don't fall for any scams or other obvious cons either. The only place I would avoid would be the middle east, for obvious reasons.

I've been to both Thailand and Colombia alone and got along just fine and I'm 5'5 120lbs. Girls will gladly show you around and be your personal tour guides. You can even get lots of numbers before hand on sites like thaicupid, colombiancupid, badoo, etc. Find out what sites/phone apps are popular at your destination.

As far as game goes.... if you're a white male then you've practically got celebrity status in Asia... especially Thailand. No game is needed at all. It's extremely easy to meet women in other countries especially if you're a foreigner visiting. So it won't really improve your game but you will get you a lot more experience.

Thailand is the bomb... you'll have a blast there, particularly in Bangkok. It's a very international city so you can get by ok speaking English. In Colombia it's much more difficult as a lot less people speak English but it can be managed. Learn basic phrases before hand (Pimsleur is a great resource for learning conversational languages) and use google translate or phone apps to translate convos on the fly. If you're spending more than a week at any location then unlock your gsm phone and get a local sim card, it's much cheaper than international roaming rates and you'll have your own local phone number. In Thailand make sure the hotel you book is 'guest friendly' because prostitution is such a big thing there some hotels charge if you bring a girl up... even if she's not a hooker. If you're spending a month in one city then the cheaper option would be to book an apartment which can usually be rented out per month at a much cheaper price than a hotel.

Bucharest, Romania is very well known within the community for having amazingly hot women that are very flirty. Zan Perrion pretty much lives there.

He's not going to be

He's not going to be controlled by fear I'm talking to a particular person, you're using another generalization to combat another generalization in your head, monkey. Dude walks around doe-eyed all day long and is extremely sweet-tempered. He's going to get into trouble if he doesn't watch out.

I'm just saying the general

I'm just saying the general public perception of foreign countries is based on lies, racism and propaganda. Which keeps people from going out there and exploring the world to see what it's really like. If you know him better than me then fair enough. If he's naive then he should proceed with extra caution no matter where he visits.

Know the currency exchange rates, basic cab fair rates and make sure they run the meter, keep your passport locked in your hotel safe, be observent at all times of your surroundings and people around you, keep your wallet in your front pocket not your back, avoid beggars or random people trying to sell you trips, great deals, etc, don't dress like a tourist or backpacker, have trusted locals guide you around and be aware of unsafe areas.

As far as things to do in Bangkok there's... tons.
The Grand Palace is epic, a river boat ride along Chao Phraya River was the highlight of the trip (it runs along the entire city and they stop at temples and let you out to look around), Samphran Elephant Ground just outside Bangkok was awesome (you can ride elephants there) and that's not even counting the abundant night life options.

In Medellin Colombia... Arvi Park was amazing. It's literally a park located at the top of the mountains overlooking the entire city. I rented a horse up there.

When I went to Thailand back

When I went to Thailand back in 2010 they actually had a political group called the 'red shirts' lining the streets in demonstrations... (all poor uneducated people that had been paid off, wearing red shirts in support of the corrupt ex-president Thaksin who'd been exiled from the country).

They were totally peaceful for several weeks but had blocked off a main street where a lot of famous shops are which basically interfered with tourism (which is Thailand's primary source of income). So the police came in decked out in riot gear to get them off the street and it ended up in a bloody shootout. Some of the red shirts even had M79 grenade launchers.

I was at an outside market with a girl on Khao San Road and people were screaming and running away as we heard shots ring out literally right down the street less than a block away. So I decided me and the girl I was with should get going at that point lol and we hopped in a cab and got the fuck out of there. Went across town, chilled and had dinner, went out with another girl later that same night, took her to a bar and then she followed me back to my hotel. It didn't effect my trip one bit. So yeah, bad shit can happen anywhere you go. Check your evening news at home and you'll probably hear about some shooting or other bullshit. And fyi, that's not typical of Thailand at all. They are generally extremely chill and non-violent. Most of the crime there is petty like people trying to con you.

Another thing to consider when planning a trip... check the climate. Both the political climate and weather/season.

I'm talking about being

I'm talking about being targeted by armed robbers and such. Guns, knives, gangs. Stay out of shady areas and always be aware of your surroundings. Typically the political climate won't have much to do with visitors as they always try to protect tourism, just be aware of what area of the city you're in. And be aware it can change from block to block. I've been walking with buddies and just sat back and watched as they meandered into a shitty part of town before I called their attention to it.

But yes full exploration of other cultures is fantastic. It feels like being in an alien world sometimes. Have fun

I went to thailand alone with

I went to thailand alone with no problems when i was 18. Great experience but not really my kind of girls and parties over there.

More of a south america lover here. You should be safe in most of south america (peru being safe, colombia not so safe) with a little common sense and by avoiding shady areas. Also talk to locals and ask them about what safety precautions to take.

Heard great stuff about eastern europe aswell, especially ukraine, bosnia, serbia, croatia

Yep, i can vouch for Serbia

Yep, i can vouch for Serbia and Croatia. Although there's a lot of negative propaganda around Serbia it's all bullshit like someone already said above.

I've been doing some

I've been doing some research, narrowed down to romania and thailand. All the places have something interesting the others do not; for instance peru has ayuhuaska, thailand has thaiboxing... interesting things to do, that can fill my time other than women. And there's also women too.

All the Romanian people I meet have these qualities I like - positive, open. Can't quite put my finger on what it is. I'd like to immerse myself in the culture. I don't really have a plan. I have a Romanian buddy, was thinking of meeting up, and have someone have my back.

If I did thailand, I'd probably lodge at a thai gym, a non-touristy one. I'd train and get fit and go out to meet folks. No plan here either.

Thanks for the advise fellas. Seeing these responses has me siked

Between those two I'd pick

Between those two I'd pick Thailand. You'd have a TON of enhanced social status there and it'd put you in a great headspace and state of mind at all times. You'd take that new level of heightened sense of entitlement everywhere you go for the rest of your life. I'd plan on Romania afterwards.
