Upwards head nod, bad?

I do it to guys all the time. Did it to dome girl some few times but it felt a bit strange, like saluting some other guy lol.

Why do you think you do it? What's their response? These sorts of things generally don't mean much unless they're a sign of you entering a different headspace that's unconscious and doesn't do you any good. So basically we need more details to figure out what is going on here. 

I do it all the time automatically and subconciously when I say whats up to my guy friends. Its just been happening when I say whats up to females as well. I assume my subconcious thinks it projects confidence and its trying to let everybody know that Im the shit or at least that I think Im the shit. 

I guess I was worried that girls would think im overconfident or im too cocky/sure of myself and it would make them become slightly turned off when I open them. 

Do you think it has turned them off?

idk I feel like a head nod can be a nuerotic/nervous tick, in my experience it makes me feel less grounded and lessens the focus of my eye contact.

Hard to say how they perceive it but I agree that It doesnt feel as solid as opening super grounded with laser eyecontact.

Ok then just stop doing it.

Cool girls get it if its done with a smirk and a look of "How you doin.."

There's a variation wherein you punctuate what you're saying and grab their attention by tilting your head upwards while speaking the important part.  Upwards head nod + eye contact is powerful.
