I think he's got some good points about the issues women have and about men's behavior towards them, but he needs to articulate his conclusion better IMO. Because it sounds like his conclusion is "if you're not getting laid, then stop being upset about it and grow up", which is good if he's saying what Tolle is in the sense of "stop making the now into a problem". On the other hand, if he's saying not to take action, then he's a mega fucking retard.

Thanks man. IMO its the entire problem. You have a dude with an underdog mentality, which btw is the polar opposite of assuming value, running around trying to do the weird gimmicky shit mentioned in the article. Then he gets in the nice school with the nice BMW and the money and thinks that he should be owed a girl. That's the entitlement portion. When he doesn't get the girl, he thinks he's doomed to be the the underdog forever but without the consolation prize of a hot girl. Because he thinks he is owed a girl, he feels cheated.

I mean, if you think about it that way, it makes sense that he did what he did. If you thought you were gonna be the loser forever but without the consolation prizes, you would probably be a little angry as well. Its the exact same shit with the Columbine killers and a whole bunch of others.

TL;DR: Underdog mentality + Entitlement = Big problems.

Yes that's very good woberdor. That's one of the main reasons why I wish this guy had come to me. I can train someone and give them the technical know-how to know how and what to execute. Which gets to another fundamental issue here. The dude was basically lazy, didn't do what was actually required. He gets a fucking car from his parents? How is that a sign of his self-worth. It's not, and he knows it. 

But there's more.. it was pretty fucking shocking when I read it that's a clue.

Oh fuck yeah man good call. I initially ignored it because I thought that no one would actually go after that girl, but it appears that some people actually are. That angers the fuck out of me.

Well basically the fact that this guy considers physical escalation to be outright assault. Soo this 'writer' is scared of physical escalation. Probably is one of the reasons why he isn't able to get the girl he wants. He won't touch a girl because he doesn't feel he deserves her and is probably apologetic for his own masculinity. 

But going Tolle for a second, it seems that Elliot developed a HUGE victim identity. 

He saw himself as cheated of what he was entitled too. His self image was defined by the fact that he was wronged. Becasue of this, any possiblity to have a rewarding relationship with a girl, was destroyed. Since the ego is more interested in self preservation. If he was to have a girl want to be with him, his entire self make up would be erradicated. So perpetuted his denial of women continually. He asked for girls to deny him. He sabotaged himself. 

So he brought all of this onto himself.

You can argue with this, but his entire manifesto is written from his pain body. The little him that is so fed up with his victim story. Yet he is consumed with it. It has become him and it has taken him over. 

He also went on forums to complain about girls. Instead of taking action.

What does MW say.... The number one pyschologiacl drive is homeostatis. To remain the same. 

Yeah and that goes for all people. God was like ok humans, you can have egos but just know that you will be in pain if you don't grow out of them. We all have the choice to grow, it appears this is not true sometimes but that's because our binocular lenses are turned the wrong way. When u see its all just a projection, you see you aren't a victim. Still takes a commitment to grow but I agree Bateman, this kid was in pain and projected it. I'd also be very curious if he was on any SSRI's which have been a common denominator in many school shootings. 

They've been shown to in rare cases cause suicidal thoughts and extreme violence. 

Lol they don't cause that. What they do cause is an even bigger disconnection between the persons buried feelings and awareness. Imagine a person whose already a bit crazy. All of sudden they're on drugs and have even less groundedness. Drug companies are fucked as well but that's a whole other discussion

Yeah you guys are both right. Take what Beargrizz said into consideration.. that enlarged cognitive "gap" would make violence easier. They'd be more disconnected from the humanity of it. Was Roger on them? 

Best one yet. He'd romanticized his own "rejection" so it became self-perpetuating. He'd act it out, action follows thought, they'd of course return the energy back to him, and the cycle would continue. Otherwise this could not have happened. Elliot Rodger would have gotten laid. The kid was good looking with money.

And what about the pickup community? It served to enforce the one shitty thing needed to make the whole thing fly, the amorphous and insidious belief that to "get women, you must be mean to them." Otherwise he could have lived like a chode and managed to get laid by 22.
