Weigh in Today for my Fight
Feeling great. Just popped some hyper shred and did some light jogging and shadow boxing.
For the past year or so I swore off cardio which is seriously retarded. Just a friendly reminder, do some HITT or MISS cardio three times a week for 20-30 minutes. You will feel amazing. Couple that with lifting, tea, meditation for ungodly levels of shreddedness and confidence. On that IF time too, best diet I've tried.
gonna talk to Bateman about getting certified for PT this year, time to take my fitness to another level. Sitting at about 10% bf right now and not really satisfied.
How many lbs did you cut?
Just five pounds between yesterday and this morning. Just water weight.
pretty easy cut, jutpst limited carbs, did cardio, and I will eat a solid meal after I weigh in. The fight is in ten days which is absurd so i can't let my weight fluctuate too much between then and now.
Nice. Best of luck to you my man.
Kill em'
I was shooting for 159 and weighed in at 158.6
if you have not tried intermittent fasting get on it guys

Bateman got me on that intermittent fasting shit. It's crazy. Super intense
I also started lifting today. Pretty sure I sucked at it- but it's cool, I wouldn't expect to be solid my first time doing these specific lifts

always nice to surprise people like that
Sweet! Really proud of you for fighting mang.
Nice G! Rooting for ya
Win or lose go be a bad ass. Bring the beast
Thanks guys.
I just got my new ppair of Cleto Reyes goloves in the mail. Can't wait to work mitts with them later tonight. I've never owned a "puncher's" glove.
Good luck man. I didnt have to cut for my last fight since my opponent was much bigger. But ill have to when i get more competitive. Changing gym in 2 weeks and ill ask for a fight quickly. Cutting weight seems like a hell. In thailand they were running with sweatsuits and shit all the time.
Just an update, won my fight last night fellas :)
he he caught me pretty good a couple of times in the first and I lost that round. I came out guns blazing second round and almost tko'd him. After that round I knew he was mentally broken so I won the third round handedly as well. Thanks for all the kind words gents, I will try to get a video uploaded to youtube and post a link here.
Sick! Good job buddy!

I'm in the red gloves. Got hit a couple of solid times in the first round. Lost that one. Woke up and came back to win a decision. Rocked him right after the 1:40 mark and that changed the fight. I saw him mentally break and went after him.
You definitely took some hard shots in that first round but it didnt mentally shake you at all and you were able to take the fight to him in rounds 2 & 3. Impressive stuff!
Thanks man it was a lot of fun. I def wanna get back in the ring and do some amateur stuff in the future
Who's your coach? How old were you guys.. weight, etc.
congratz, dude!
looked like a good fight to me. you were pretty well matched it seems to me.
@MW:
22 years old, 162 lbs, 5'11.
No formal coach right now as I don't have a car. My previous experience was 6 months boxing at an LA Boxing up in Colorado and about 2 years Muay Thai down in Texas. Don't have a vehicle right now and I'm still finishing college so I'll look to get back into it seriously after I graduate. My training for the fight consisted of light weight training, MISS cardio, IF diet, and the occasional light sparring and mitt work outside to simulate the fight's conditions. We were the first fight of the night and it was about 95 degrees outside.
My biggest takeaways were definitely keep my hands up. I get too confident in my chin and the amount of punishment I can take and return. I could have taken much less damage with a better guard and more head movement. It was an awesome experience though, no amount of training could have really prepared me for a fight like this since it's outdoors and there's a lot of drunk people cheering and yelling so there was an adrenaline dump. I don't reccommend that evryone do something like this obviously but it was a very unique experience that I feel I'm better for having accomplished. Getting in a ring and knowing you're about to throw down with someone is a little bit of ego death in and of itself.
@Chris:
Thanks man. First, I wanted to do this because my coworkers kind of talked me into it. But the more I trained and got into it, I remembered how much I loved the sport.
EDIT: My opponent was 24 years old. I don't think he had any formal experience. Dude was definitely stocky and hit like a truck. My head is just now getting over that "concussed" feeling of being tight and sore.
