What do you guys think of Donald Sterling and his plantation politics?

He's so mind identified. He could use some Tolle ahha.

But it was comical that he was telling his girl she could do whatever she wants with black guys privately, just don't broadcast it on IG. That sounds crazy to me. 

She's basically just arm candy to him. Does he even fuck her lol? Or is he more just focused on his image and people seeing him with her.

What's the deal going on here. Like when you're that much older, do you fully expect your young gf to bang other dudes on the side. Sounds like he coudln't careless. 

I don't know exactly what he said but to me this whole thing is just a terrific reflection of the current consciousness (or lack of).   

There seems to be seeminly different issues, but ultimately its the same dilemma...

People still harbor feelings of racism and actually believe them.  I mean they really do.  People are so unwilling to question their beliefs, but I mean its not really their fault because no one is telling them to question them.

Back in the day white plantation owners would bang their black female slaves and make money from the labor of their male slaves. Donald Sterling owns a basketball team which is of course predominantly black men, and is dating a half-black girl.

WHAT THE FUCK.  I just listened to this shit.  This is the fucking DUMBEST shit I have ever heard.  It is hard to imagine how he got so rich with such emotional impotence... 

It's a fucked up situation and couldn't happen at a worse time. Holy shit Stephen a. Smith is going off on First Take right now. 

Some people do still live in the 1800's it's stupid gay but it is what it is. I see racism and legal slavery every day. It's shocking if your not use to it but these wealthy old school guys were raise by other wealthy old school guys who got rich partially by exploiting others. Other racism exists partially cause the stereotypes have small truths to them (ex: Race A gets good jobs because their family and friends of the same race hook them up. Race B is only hired help and catches all the shit. They blame it on the Race but it's just the general socioeconomic status of different groups)

in summary it's still gay as fuck and these guys who don't move along with the times are ducking themselves in the long run. But blowing it out of proportion only makes things worse. They need a comedian to just laugh at and make fun of the situation and it will be done with. 

I heard on the radio today how people are starting to point fingers at the chick for being manipulative and scheming to rope this guy into the situation. Mmhmmm! Preach!

I don't know the FULL story but I doubt this chick was trying to create social change by bringing out this guys racism, and if she just wanted 15 minutes or to screw him over she is part of the problem as well. 

To elaborate on this, Smith made an interesting point about the Clippers team being flustered from the whole situation. They are getting bombarded with texts, tweets, etc. about it from family and friends and they are not focusing on the game. He said imagine knowing your owner is a bigot and then we can expand on that even further and look at a guy like Jackie Robinson. Jackie Robinson was hated by players in the league, some of his teammates, and EVEN FANS. He still managed to play on an exceptional level because he was focused solely on winning and "proving the haters wrong". The Clippers need to get their collective head out  of their ass basically.

This guy reminds me of my father, who is actually almost as old as this guy, except my dad isn't a racist. The way they speak is RETARDED. This Donald Sterling guy is like "theres nothing wrong with the color of your skin" "I just don't want to you associate with them"

My dad speaks the same way. There is an obvious contradiction in what this dude is saying/doing, but he either A. won't acknowledge it, or B. doesn't even understand the contradiction due to all the cognitive dissonance he has surrounding the issue. People like that are very difficult to speak to.

Honestly, it's really too bad that that's his reality. I feel sorry for him that he sees the world that way, but he definitely shouldn't be in any position of power/promoting his fucked up reality.
